So.. I've never owned a toy, never even considered buying one. My fingers have always been good enough for me, but my girlfriend is wanting to get us some. What should I be looking for?For a first toy, I definitely recommend the Butterfly Kiss (and other gals here will corroborate this as well). It's cheap, not too big, and has strong vibrations!
The basic model is on sale right now for $7.70!!! BUY IT NOW!!!

The Platinum model, which I have, is twice the price. It's still worth it, IMO, because it has more pulse modes.

(Edit: I am not in any way connected to the company that makes or sells these things...I'm just a happy customer. A really happy customer. XD)

Doesn't slapping pink on beer and marketing it for women just bolster sexism? I don't have many other complaints other than that considering I rarely drink. It takes too much and the taste is awful.
Indeed, "pinkwashing" is sexist. Creating a brand targeted toward women isn't necessarily sexist, and I will admit that I find the packaging snazzy. But instead of listening to what women actually want in beer, the company assumes they know better and create an incredibly patronizing product, which like I said, is 99% sure to be utter shit. The women who already drink beer will not like this product, because it's crap, and the women who don't drink beer yet will probably not be fooled by the advertising (plus once they taste it I'm pretty sure they won't like it either). I'll just gleefully wait for the product to fail
As for you guys who don't like beer...it really is an acquired taste, just like wine is. I do happen to like even the bitter, heavy brews, and it really helps to be exposed to good beers and not the commercial swill.
FUCK, WHO DO I READOPT? I love all my loli/shotas...T^T
Ok, so I re-adopt Bluebell from Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and Young Lelouch vi Britannia/Lamperouge from Code Geass as my little siblings. Er, I don't really remember if I had them as siblings the last time around, but whatever. They're my siblings now.

(Melfice wasn't able to get back to me--boo timezones--so I just decided to repost this with the correct rules. All entries should be linked here, please.)
June's winner was Melfice, and as the theme for this month he picked "That sweet brown stuff," also known as...

Chocolate!!!
Here's a quick recap of the rules. Read them or weep!
Contest officially starts now, August 1, 2011 and ends 00:00 PST (GMT-8) September 1, 2011. No entries will be accepted after that time. Voting starts whenever I wake up on that day and will last for five days, after which we will announce the winner. Winner gets mad props, rep from me (and from others?) and the chance to choose the month after next's theme (August winner chooses for October).
Also, for future reference:
EDITED TO UNSTICKY. Thanks for all the sweet entries, folks!

Summer is just ramping up for most of us in the Northern Hemisphere, but the month of July has passed and with it the theme of Summer Produce. There weren't many entries this month, but the contestants brought the heat on with these dishes:
Animefreak_usa made Fried Squid with Fried Green Tomatoes
Nekohime made Garden-Fresh Tomato Basil Soup
Neruku made Glass Noodles with Oyster Mushrooms
As an aside, this was a bit of a letdown after the great turnout for last month's contest, but I do hope you guys join in August's contest!
Remember folks, we are judging on how well the recipe fits the theme for this month, and how delicious the food looks in the photos! Winner will get to pick the theme for September. Good luck to everyone. The poll will be open for 5 days starting now.
Edit: Congrats to Animefreak! You get to choose September's theme.

As long as this is the offical post then i will see about making something with diabetes... i mean chocolate.Chocolate is definitely the official theme for this month, but Melly hasn't gotten back to me, so if he doesn't by this evening I'll have to make another post with the official rules (i.e. the ones we've been using previously). This is just to prevent confusion from the rule changes and to be fair to all of you guys who made suggestions and/or voted on the rules when we first made them.
Girls, this made me rage so hard.

Pink beer. PINK. FUCKING. BEER. And I bet it's not pink GOOD beer either, but pink CRAP beer, seeing as it is "clear filtered, crisp rose, and zesty lemon" flavored, has extra food coloring, is "low cal and bloat-resistant," and is made by the Coors company (all their beers are absolute shit, except maybe Blue Moon, but I don't like that beer either). Plus I hate "pinkwashing" in general because just slapping pink on a crappy product and hoping women will buy it is lazy marketing.
*barfs*
I know plenty of women who drink good beer, like Rogue, Sierra Nevada, Pyramid, or microbrews from local breweries. Seriously, the reason women don't drink beer is because a) most commercial brands are horrid, fucking awful, disgusting swill and b) the advertising for beer is so sexist that even if we did like the taste, we'd be turned off by the commercials.

I'm here--Melfice just wanted to post the thread early.
BTW please check your PMs, Melly! I sent you important info about this thread.

Ok, it's been five days since I divorced poor Blair, so I shall make my new claim.
I claim Usui Takumi from Kaichou wa Maid-sama. I'm not usually into blondes but he's just too adorable and sexy.
HNNNGGGGG BISHIE SPARKLES.

This is just me being a tad ignorant, but what do you use Galbi/kalbi and Tonkatsu sauce for? (I dont think Ive heard of them before...)
Galbi or Kalbi is a Korean beef dish. It's actually for a marinade, though I call it sauce because I use it for stir-frying as well. Tonkatsu sauce is for...well, tonkatsu. But you can also use it on other breaded and fried stuff with great results. I even use it as a salad dressing sometimes, if watered down with a bit of rice vinegar.

Hmmm, looks good. Its been ages since Ive had a tomato soup (or any soup to be honest) that wasnt from a can... (yeah...) The tomato look great though, its always great to cook with homegrown ingredients (my family has a small vege patach in the backyard which I have been abusing).
The final product looks good as well, though maybe its just be not having a proper tomato soup in ages, I prefer mine a tad more red.
Anyway, nice work.
Yeah, I prefer mine with a lot of cream, but you can always adjust the cream levels to your taste. If you're using fresh veggies the colour will depend on the tomatoes you use in the soup as well.
I will admit that I feel bad when buying stuff I can make myself. But sometimes you're just too lazy, or don't have the time, ingredients or tools to do so. Plus the store bought stuff will keep longer because of the preservatives, so if it's something you don't use all the time (like for me and mayo) it is more economical to buy it rather than make your own and then watch it spoil.
But anyway, some do-it yourself stuff that I actually use all the time:
Galbi/kalbi sauce:
1 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1-3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
1-2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
2 tbsp mirin/sake/dry white wine
handful of green onions, finely chopped
1 crushed chili (optional)
Tonkatsu sauce:
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
2-4 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp apple sauce
2-4 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp dijon mustard
pepper and/or other spices to taste

@Neruku: Yes, it does, comb the lashes really well, and has less clumping than other brands, as long as you apply it in thin layers. But I have weird lashes too-they're not long, but they're thick and they do tend to tangle, so I keep a clean mascara wand for untangling and removing mascara clumps.

Hi new member :)ladies lets talk about mascara, I need a new one, I have the max factor false lash effect and I'm pretty satisfied but I would like to try something new, any suggestion?
My current fav is the Maybelline Falsies mascara. Super awesome hold, but it's so hard to get rid of. I usually end up having great lashes even the day after, lol.

I don't care what anyone says In-N-Outs animal fries are bombtastic. Also 5 guys is pretty good. I can honestly say though that I can't stand KFC or McD's, but Popeye's spicy chicken and mashed tators ain't all that bad.Yessss, animal fries! As far as fast food chains, I really only eat at Popeye's, In-N-Out, and Wendy's.
Nothing on that list turns me off. However, scat and watersports are not on that list, and they do turn me off faster than a miser turns off his lamps to save energy.
Woot, tomato soup.

Tomatoes are a lovely summer food, and teh bf happens to grow them in his backyard. Or rather, his mom grows them and I get to have them whenever I want. This tomato soup recipe used tomatoes plucked straight from the vine and basil fresh from the bush to create an explosion of lovely summer flavors. It's a really easy recipe with great results, and it tastes good whether hot or cold. Eat it with garlic bread or grilled cheese sandwiches!
(As an aside, I cooked this much earlier in the month, but didn't upload it until now because I am lazy as fuck. Summer just makes me want to hide in the darkness of my bedroom all the freaking time.)
