Shou looked over his shoulder and out the door once again. He saw along the metal walkway there were plenty of pipes, pillars, and the occasional piece of machinery large enough that they're sticking out from the wall that he could take cover from. However, the moment he stepped onto the platform, there was no way to guarantee his safety in such a chaotic environment. The constant sound of rampaging gunfire, combined with the fact that the area was relative dimly lit, he knew that he would have to prepare himself. Shou waited a moment, took a deep breath and rushed out the room and down the metallic walkway and away from the direction of the girls he saw.
I just need an angle where I can see them. Rushing at them without know what they are capable of is suicidal, Shou thought as he made his way down the walkway. As the area was dimly lit, Shou could not effectively see the interior of the entire building, but he could make out the chaos on ground floor thanks to light directly shining on the scene; at best, he could see several meters around him unless there was a light source revealing areas further off. Occasionally he would take cover to see if there was anyone in particular noticing him from below and coming after him. It was clear that anyone on ground floor was far too concentrated on what was in front of them to notice someone running about above them on the highest floor.
Eventually Shou took a turn and took cover behind a large pipe; he had a clear view on where he'd seen the girls before. However, they had obviously moved from that location by no now, so he began scanning the area and found the girls as well as a boy making their way up a flight of metal stairs. It seemed that they were indeed fleeing from the chaos below them. Shou slightly regretted taking the route that would lead him away from them, but his regret didn't last long as he readied two metal pins, one in each of his hands.
Li continued to follow the fellow student from above, while carefully moving forward without making any loud noises. The student seemed apprehensive about the situation, which seemed to indicate his lack of involvement with the other firefight. As she continued to follow him, she felt a little uneasy, as the hairs on her back tingled ever so slightly. She moved forward a few more steps before quickly side-stepping around and latched on a nearby column and hid. Then she waited for a few moments to see if anyone was following her...
What? Gun fire? Hono slowed his movements and tried to hide behind a nearby drum. He looked far towards the front and saw the girl again. Now, who are you? Hono carefully crouched and walk from the drum and quickly moved behind a pillar while evading the open area. Did she realized that I'm following her? This is too easy! Hono thought as he carefully continued to stalk from a distance. Wait, where did she go?? Did she hid her self somewhere? Could it be that she found me? Hono passed a column, ignoring his surroundings and only looked forward.
It didn't take long for Li to see yet another student following carefully along the same path, with a few detours to supposedly ward off suspicion. Based on the silouette, he wasn't armed, but she couldn't be sure of any potential concealed weaponry. She waited until he passed by the column she occupied before leaping out to the student's side. Then she spun behind while grabbing the student's right wrist and twisted it to its limit and pinned it to his back. She pressed the arm against his back and pinned him to the left railing as she confronted him.
"Who are you..." Li started to ask as she managed to get a close-up of the student's face, despite the limited lighting, but with a look of surprise, she almost yelped, "Hono-senpai?! What are you doing here?"
"Ouch! Gah! Stop! Y-yes! It's me, Hono!" Hono yelled in reply to the girl who pinned his right arm on his back. Wait, this voice... Hono stopped struggling. "Li, is that you? What are you doing here?! Let me go! It hurts! after launching a barrage of questions while trying to resist the hold in order to avoid the pain, and keeping his voice down, he also desperately requested her to let go of him.
Li hesitated for a moment before she realized she still had Hono pinned. She carefully brought Hono's arm back to a more 'proper' position and stepped back. "I think we're both here for the same reason, with us being curious and for some reason unable to move away from the sound of gunfire and god-knows-what-else might lie ahead," Li replied as she regained some of her composure and then added, "I was following another student, who I think was also drawn into whatever's happening out of curiousity or something like that."
Don't take my answer!" Hono facepalmed and added, "I was here because there was a job call on the other building, and yes, the sound of gun fire made me want to come here."
Then she heard more gunfire and barely caught a glimpse of the other student moving ahead to a stairwell. The gunfire was interrupted sproadically and then there was a massive whoosing sound eminating from the stairwell. "Something's going on up ahead, let's hurry!" Li said urgently, with a hint of excitement seeping through.
This girl... Hono shook his head. "You go ahead. I'll watch your back," Hono said as he followed Li to the stairwell.
Li grinned slightly at Hono's remark and felt a sense of ease having him cover her back for some reason. She moved to the end of the scaffold and then mantled over onto a lower platform, which was just beside the stairwell. As she walked up, she saw that it was littered with bodies, guns, holes and spent casings. She looked up further and squinted before saying out loud, "Damn, I lost sight of whoever's was there."
Hono quickly followed Li up the stairwell, ignoring the bodies, guns, holes, and spent casings. He squinted beside Li and whispered "Keep your voice down!" he bonked Li's head lightly and continued, "Who was it that you followed anyway? Another student from our highschool?" Hono looked back to make sure that they were not followed.
"Sorry," Li replied as she whispered, "I think it was another student, as he seemed to have a similar uniform to our school's. I'm just taking a guess, but I think he was also following some other people who may have been involved in this. But I lost track of them."
"That's an interesting conversation you two are having, we'd love to hear more of it," a shorter-looking auburn-haired girl whose hair were tied in pigtails, said from behind, her fingers equipped with metal pins, ready to apprehend the two if necessary. She wore the uniform of Tokiwadai Middle School. It was Shirai Kuroko, along with her were Nayuta Kihara, and Minase Tamaki. It seemed that Judgement members were investigating, in the middle of all the madness going on in the facility. "This is Judgement, answer me!"
Wait, what?! Judgement? That small? Wait, she's a middle school student, but still, THAT SMALL?! Hono was surprised to see a very young judgement member, due to his limited amount of knowledge of the city. "Err, my name is Hono and this is Li" Hono greeted her normally because he didn't know what to say.
Li felt a shift in the air and turned rapidly, hands and legs poised towards the origin of the new voice. Then she saw the Judgement armband and the pigtailed girl introduce herself as such. Li relaxed a bit, and chuckled a little as she politely 'shoved' Hono away from any potential wrath of the Judgement members as she replied, "You'll have to forgive my fellow senpai here, he's just...startled at your sudden appearance. My name is Li-Hua Hong. I was the one that called Anti-Skill about the gunfire incidents here. But I believe we got a bit too curious for our own good."
The girl from Judgement sighed, "May I know what's going on? Like, I wasn't asking for your or his name. What have you witnessed so far? If it was you who called us, then you should know more now that you entered this facility, right?"
"But for a civilian to enter such a sight... curiosity sure can lead people to trouble," Uiharu commented from behind the monitor on Judgement branch office 177, the voice was transmissioned to Kuroko's ears, "Uiharu, can you find the two names in the databank?" Uiharu simply replied that she was already searching.
Li sighed and shrugged as she replied, "Unfortunately, I don't know much more. All I saw directly were the bodies of these militants or terrorists, but not who or why they were killed. Hono-senpai and I followed another person, maybe a student, further in but we lost track of them at the top of this stairwell, just before you showed up," Li knew there was not much else she could do but to tell the seemingly competent Judgement officer all she knew.
"Hmm... that means there was an opposing force against the terrorists? And mysterious girls... Uiharu, you've been checking the security cameras right? Did you see two girls, or who the terrorists were fighting against?!"
Uiharu in reply gave a rather puzzling news, "Wait... they were fighting each other? And some of the cameras were broken? What's going on..." Kuroko placed her hand under her chin; deep in thought, then looked back at the boy who was with the girl who reported, as he opened his mouth to speak.
"As for me, I was supposed to fix the water leak in the building on the other side, just when I got off the bus from the bus stop, I saw her sneaking in, and I heard gun shots too. So I followed her in. Saw bodies on the way here, and then she jumped on me. That's all, I guess." Hono answered the judgement member calmly while still looking around for threats.
Aside from Shou seeing the girls, who were now accompanied with a boy, he saw several men slowly advancing their way towards the location where the girls were. They seemed to have a clear goal as they advanced while taking cover often, attempting to be stealthy. They were definitely headed towards that stairway, and from the girls' perspective, there would be little to no way for them to anticipate the ambush that was being set up from multiple directions. One of the men raised his hand to signal the other three men, but Shou would not let them go any further.
Shou threw one of his pins at the man that raised his hand as the rest of the men had advanced leaving the man just slightly behind the rest, which made him the easiest target to handle. However, Shou's aim was off; he wished to kill him on spot with the metal pin, but it only grazed the man's left arm and was left on the metallic floor. Nonetheless, he immediately teleported down; there was no way for the man to suspect an attack from a teleporter. Instantly, Shou appeared before the man, and before the man could react, Shou stabbed him with his metal pin right in the chest. The man let out a small cry, but Shou was already done.
Shou pulled out the metal pin from the man's chest and teleported the pin he threw that was on the floor back into his hand; he had a metal pin in each hand once again. At this range, aiming and teleporting were no problem. He threw a pin to another one of the men repeating the same brutal method of stabbing down the man. One of the two remaining men had noticed that their two comrades were no where to be found and reactively he tried to sprint towards the other man that was ahead of him, but there was no outrunning a teleporter. A metal pin found its way to the back of the sprinting man, followed by the immediate teleportation of another metal pin being lodged deeper and close by to where the first one was. Shou teleported to that body, recalled the pins into his hands and after quickly flicking off the blood, he threw a metal pin towards the still ignorant man that continued his advance. The pin landed square on the back of the man; shou promptly teleported one last time and dealt the final blow.
Afterwards, he found himself close to the base of the stairs. For a moment, he was scared of what he had done. Coldly and almost effortlessly, he'd taken the lives of four people, and his hands were trembling at the thought of it. Did I... No... I can't- He shook his head and broke apart his immediate thoughts. He did what was right; he had to tell himself that. Shou continued running towards the stairs with only the thought of helping whoever was climbing the stairs, but little did he know that while he found two girls and a guy accompanying them, it was unbelievably different. He could only stare at one of them in particular: Shirai Kuroko. There was no doubt, the iconic auburn colored hair and the twin tails gave it away. Shirai Kuroko stood in front of a girl and a boy, likely questioning them about the circumstances.
Looks like Judgment's here However, this changed nothing. This place was dangerous, and without proper backup, even Shirai Kuroko would be in danger. He suddenly shouted out attempting to overcome the noise of the gunshots while projecting his voice enough to be heard at a distance, "Get out of here! This place is far too dangerous!"
"That's my line, ordinary citizens!" she looked back at the boy and girl, they were most likely from the name school - evident due to matching uniforms - and continued "Needs to stop getting into dangerous places!... Uiharu!" a voice message was then transmitted directly from the device she wore on her ear, "Tamaki," Minase Tamaki then nodded, and looked around, "It should be safe here, there are no one close by right now, the gunshots are most likely from battlefields far away."
"Uiharu has also confirmed that just now, as she has hacked into the security cameras of the facility."

Yeap, at least in my case anyway. When I try to crop avatar, it doesn't come out right, at all. I tried cropping even when the preview image was messed up, the avi gets cropped improperly, but that's just me, did anyone else encountered this issue? A friend of mine tried the thing and he said it works just fine.
When I tried a 160x260 image, the avi changed properly though.
