"Trucker" is a shorthand for "Truck Driver". Also the connotations for "truck driver" implies that a the person in question is someone who drives a "truck" like an International, Kenworth, Freightliner or WesternStar,etc. Vehicles that require a minimum of a Class B Commercial Drivers License to operate without a trailer and a Class A to operate with a trailer that weighs over 10,000lbs GDW.

Edit: Waar is correct, I'm not mad. I don't find the term offensive as most people in my industry are former truckers or 'truck drivers". I simply don't like the label as it doesn't apply to me personally.

For the last time, I'm not a truck driver. I don't even have a class B commercial drivers license. I simply deliver commercial vehicles (Concrete mixers, Utility trucks, Straight/Box Trucks,etc). I don't drive an 18-wheeler and I don't have a C.B. Radio.

Best I have is a Ford Ranger with am/fm radio and a 6 CD disc changer. I want satellite radio so badly (T_T)

I don't claim that a God or Gods exist or do not exist. I am of the opinion that a God does not exist but, I can not prove that a God does not exist. It's beyond the ability of man to prove either way as of now. I find the entire argument troublesome and a waste of energy.

Atheism is a belief the reason is; we can not prove that God does not exist. Any claim that we can prove such at this time is absurd. We can compose logical arguments for or against the existence of a God but, at this time it is beyond our ability to prove either side of the argument. We do not know a God does not exist. We simply believe that one does not exist. Regardless of how militant or firm an Atheist's conviction in the notion that a God does not exist still falls short of the glaring truth. We can't prove definitively that a God or God does not exist.

The Macquarie Encyclopedic Dictionary definition of "belief" is:

1. that which is believed; an accepted opinion.
2. conviction of the truth or reality of a thing, based upon grounds insufficient to afford positive knowledge:

That first definition is the grounds for my argument. We can't prove that a God does not exist therefore we simply have the opinion that one does not exist. The day that scientists prove definitively that a God can not or does not exist will be the Day that Atheism can be classified as a "lack thereof".

You're assembly line argument of "not collecting stamps is a hobby" does not fit the form of Atheism I am using for my argument. That argument is better suited for the "Atheism is a religion" style arguments not the "Atheism is a belief"

Some people see Atheism as a religion because it is a set of beliefs in their view. Atheist believe there is no god, this would include Buddhists. Nobody claims that Buddhism isn't a religion simply because they don't believe in a God. That's the logic that people use when trying to state that atheism is a religion.

Until the day that atheists prove in absolute confidence that a God does not exist. We'll still be labeled a religion regardless if atheists agree or not.

If I were to believe in a God the "Grand Architect", "Prime Mover" or "Watch maker" are the models I would be most likely to believe in. Some being, who looks at the universe with the same eyes as some old world watch maker.

Yet again, you misunderstand what I said. I never claimed that it was all people who believe in God are guilty of such. If you weren't so hypersensitive you might have caught that. The atrocities that men have committed in the name of "God" is merely one of hundreds of reasons I don't believe in a God.

I think you and I need to have a one on one talk so we can better understand one another. These misunderstandings are becoming troublesome.

Has your friend started using the rhetoric from black liberation movements? Has he joined any particular religion immediately prior or after this change?

The reason the Feds don't do anything about the illegals is because

Republicans want the support from businesses that use that cheap labor.

Democrats want the votes from the Hispanic community as they are poised to overtake Blacks as the largest minority.

The vermin in Washington view votes and cheap labor as more important than you.

To be honest, I would rather see an opt out/in feature for rep instead of a Hide/show feature. At least then people who complain about rep can opt out of the system entirely (and give up their ability to rep as well). Hiding it does nothing.

It doesn't have to be specifically a Fascist government. Communist, Socialist, Theocratic, Isocracy, etc. Democracies and Republics would be the hardest to institute a one world government. Types of government that emphasize community over individual have the greater chance to spread a common moral or ethic system.

Certain economic models do the same thing by leading to a greater interconnection between countries and drives the world towards a single currency to simplify trade.

Do I believe in a God? No, I do not believe in a God because history has recorded the tragic fact that men who believe in a God have gone to war and cut each others throats because they could not agree as to what was to become of them after their throats were cut.
