A bad attempt of Israel to restrict it's plummeting image. All the food and aid will go to Hamas in the end. So it's like giving you enemy the very supplies he needs to kill you.
Considering the Israel has been telling Hamas where it'll drop bombs seems like a good P.R. method but, considering the general brutality of Hamas. They could easily tell non-combatant civilians to enter the place being struck. Israel isn't trying to start a massive fight. It just wants to disarm Hamas since they will have a extremely hard time trying to rearm since it's smuggling tunnels will be destroyed in the conflict.

I'd say that the UN(or anybody competent enough) should just create DMZ a la North-South Korea. Try to make those damn Hamas and the Israelis sign a cease fire treaty, divide the territory, make Jerusalem a neutral zone, and put a DMZ inbetween the borders. Disarm those frickin' rockets that bombards the Israelis. And make all those bombing sorties the Israelis run stops.
That might sound hard to do, but if a totalitarian country(with a cult-like support from its civilians)like North Korea could settle with DMZ, why can't Palestine and Israel?
a DMZ is a popular idea but, how do you enforce the rockets? Those rockets can be set up by a two man squad. Fired then stashed away in minutes. Those things are so easy to work I could probably pick one up and figure out how to work the thing in minutes. In a "bare bones" example they are a metal tube, a rocket and a ignition system. A model rocket ignition is all it takes to set one on its way. The things have a range of a couple miles but, have no guidance system and are extremely inaccurate

I don't think this will lead to WW3. Unless Iran steps in with a standing military force. Egypt won't do shit to Israel especially after getting their asses beat twice by the Israeli people. Lebanon is a maybe but, I doubt it. Since Hamas can be linked back to Iran..it's up to them if they want to set off a global war. In the current situation. If we went WW3. So unless we arrest anyone who trys to buy fertilizer we can't necessarily prevent a car bomb. Ammonium nitrate is a common oxidizer in explosive. Mix Ammonium nitrate and liquid nitromethane then add an ignition system (blasting cap) and you have a powerful bomb. Just check out anything on the Oklahoma City bombing. The problem about preventing this is Ammonium Nitrate is in fertilizer and Nitromethane is used as fuel in racing engines. Any idiot with a book can make an ignition system.

Though the plan is actually quite genius. Since unless the government takes away massive amounts of freedom then they basically have free license to do whatever they want. There are already radical clerics in the U.S. and the U.K. already spouting hatred and that these countries should be destroyed in the name of Allah. The U.S. will probably be the last place to go down because of it's fundamentalist sects of Christianity but, that just means that America will end up in a state like Israel. I understand this is a sensitive topic for you but, you have to realize that religion is part of the topic in general. Palestinians are lead by Hamas which is basically a fanatical religious group. So religion can't be completely removed from the topic.
On one hand we have a country that is recognized by the majority of the world (the U.N.) as a country. It also embraces the ideas of freedom and democracy while maintaining strong negotiations with it's neighbors who are frankly not too happy about them being there to begin with.
On the other hand we have a "country" that is lead by a recognized terrorist organization in the eyes of the U.N. This group hides weapons and ammo in the homes of civilian and other civilian targets. Teaches children that martyrdom (which I recently found out was created in Iran) is "fun" and that it is their duty.
While the civilian casualties are certainly nothing to simply brush off but, all Hamas members are nothing more than mere civilians. They are not a standing army. Hamas training areas are in parks, school grounds and any other suitably large place within Palestinian territory.
After everything is put together I believe Israel is within it's rights to invade Palestinian territory to destroy the rockets that Hamas has been firing. To an extent I would support a full military invasion (and occupation) or even an annexation of Palestinian land. For the simple fact that Palestinians have embraced suicide bombings and kidnappings amongst a laundry list of other "evil" practices to further their "goals". I do however feel sorry for the Palestinians who promote a peaceful existence with Israel as Hamas and other groups have basically held them hostage within their own country.
Hamas and similar organizations simply can't be negotiated with at this point in time. Their goals are clearly the destruction (and in some cases the invasion) of the west.
Sounds like sarcasm (can't think of the right word. Think "parody" or something). Considering the "religious fanatics" who run this site have a banner advertising shirts with "unsaven" "I <3 Satan" "Demon". No religious site would have those. Tthe über religious wouldn't have Obama gear for sale either.
One thing I have thought about is why haven't anime dvd's gone the route of music? All sorts of shows are available through places like Itunes. So what if anime went digital?

2). Information isn't getting out to the public about anime. Most anime I see in stores, I have never even heard of!
3). Less airtime for shows and the reason is because of less interest (because of the piss poor dubs). Want the mainstream to embrace you? Then don't market a product that actually annoys them. I refuse to buy dvd's on the fact that every anime dvd/vhs I have ever watched had voices that would make paint peel from the walls.
4). C.N. played anime I assumed for the lead into Adult Swim since A.S. used anime as a way to set up a base but, started playing this trash people call entertainment. A.S was never about anime so that leaves channels like sci-fi with their small anime section and Encore/action with animidnight but, still it's paltry at best.
The niche will remain but, they have to step up on their end to get the mainstream. They need to start with getting awesome voice actors like Steve Blum and McGlynn, Mary Elizabeth

Anyway, I think it's grossly unfair to use a minority within any religion/race/whatever to represent the whole. The members of the KKK consider themselves a Christian organization and base their doctrines upon their own reading of the Bible. In an age of insanity "moderates" are the minority Christian or Muslim. Seriously, a Buddhist or Tao fanatic is more likely to meditate than ever commit a violent act. I don't even know if I have ever heard of a true Buddhist ever even punching someone in recent years.
As for the "twisting of religion" it's all up to interpretations so how can we say either interpretation is right or wrong? It's like an opinion. There are clear examples from the Koran that specifically call for violence. Same goes for Christianity. There are so many sects and branches of either because of interpretations but, it still comes down to one major flaw. They believe in a god.

False. People use organized religion as an excuse to do terrible things to each other, but if they were to overcome cultural misconceptions, not live in oppressive poverty where they are ruled by power hungry governments, and have access to education and actual democracy (or some peaceful form of governance), then things would be different. But, even if religion were abolished overnight, while these other social factors remained the same-- people would find another excuse. Perhaps skin color; perhaps socioeconomic status; anything goes.
Those aspects I mentioned would cease to exist without religion as they are purely religious terms. Only Muslim fanatics use "Jihad". 72 virgin suicide bombers, etc all exist due to religion. Remove religion and you will certainly see an end to most if not all of these events. Suicide bombers may continue but, it's harder to convince a guy to blow himself up without the whole "Allah" and virgins bit.

The three points marx makes against religion do echo my own thoughts. Though the economic babble isn't a shared idea. Though I can see his side though the pastors who earn hundreds of thousands of dollars from their churches in order to retire. They are men of the cloth and are supposed to preach the Gospel and live a humble life. Owning a house bigger than one I will ever own isn't being humble. While there may be peaceful practitioners it still doesn't change the fact that I view them as mentally weak. All the evidence in my life only leads to that fact. I see the peaceful people are weak and the fanatics and mentally ill.

We need to get more people doing the sigs. Swarming Ero with a ton of requests isn't fair to him. If you honestly respect Ero-sensei for his work then we shouldn't swarm him like this.
