I have met two. One was the victim of a car accident. He lived with a friend of my mom's so whenever my mom would visit her I was forced to interact with him. He had like..7 personalities. Nothing special about them except for two persona. One was psychotic which is the reason he isn't living with my my mom's friend. The second, he thought he was Evil Knievel the stuntman.
The second guy I never personally met but, I did have the pleasure to be in a room adjacent to him when he switched. He attends Georgia Tech with a friend of mine. They share a "house" together along with several other people. As semesters change the people renting out various rooms change. This one is an Indian immigrant who apparently stopped taking his meds. He was talking to himself (in hindi I assume) though it almost sounded like he was singing a song to himself like we all do. Then he switched and started yelling at himself in Hindi. The punchline is: He argued back!
So there I was talking with my friend and suddenly we have this Idian guy yelling/arguing with himself in the other kitchen (the house has two kitchens). I couldn't help but, say "What the fuck...?"
I call it York and Naota.
I am so confused I had to call a college professor to find out what word I should use.

It seems that only us sophisticated gents (and ladies) who understands the certain complex attractiveness of Lucky Star. And Von, sadly, is not one of us.
Can't blame him. It's like Seinfeld, it was popular but, I hated the show. Lucky Star is like the Seinfeld of anime. The secret to success is: add Konata to it.

I don't like to stay too updated on new anime, anyway. I mean, yeah, it's great to be on the ins when something new and awesome comes out so you can pounce on it right away. But it's one episode, and then I have to wait a week! Or more, if it's golden week at the moment or some other silly holiday that prevents anime from being released. I really prefer to find anime after a few (if not all) episodes have been released already.I can relate. I came across To Aru Majutsu no Index and I was mad that there was only one episode out. I almost wanted to do

I just want to know what anime is coming out in the near future so I can keep and eye out and catch a fansub. Hell, I didn't even know about Spice & wolf until Elfen was running around screaming about it like a street corner preacher and Armageddon.
@ero: I sent you a pm. about a request but, feel free to take your time on the request. I'm in no particular rush.

Isn't that what the web is for? All your latest anime news and such? I'm sure you would get news faster if you had a convention readily available, but for those of us without access to such functions, just a bit of surfing does the trick. Usually I just check Animesuki and scroll around to see something that catches my eye. From there I would either go to the fansubbers site to find out more info, or sometimes here if nowhere else. Other than that I just google manga that I read to see when and if they turn into anime.
I didn't know which sites people used. Currently, I use myanimelist for recommendations that other people make. I'm currently watching Baccano because of the recommendations people made through that site. Which is a rather poor way to stay updated on new anime that is coming out.

Going to conventions mostly, you see a lot of previews and get info on new stuff coming out in Japan and everywhere else.I'm not the convention type. I was also using this as a thinly veiled way to keep track of anime for myself.

So... Why is this thread back again? >.>Some people are necrophiliacs when it comes to threads. Just gotta fuck with dead things.
Simple
How do you keep track of the anime that is coming out that you want to see/have seen? Also how do you keep in the know about what is coming out?
Recently, I have been wanting to catch up in anime since I have fallen nearly a decade behind.

As much as I really hate to pass up Yuki (though once glass is written off as a no-show I'll be back after her again)
So I'll take Yomiko Readman from R.O.D.

Spoiler:
I wish I could get the "I'd hit that" as a single. I'd play it every time that I would..well..hit that.

You think I'm kidding.
Body: Slim/average (body matches bust)
Bust: Flat, "budding" or reasonably large
Eyes: Color doesn't matter but glasses ARE mandatory. "Fake glasses" are fine. The appearance is all that matters.
Hair: {referably brown or black
Personality: Quiet (not shy), well mannered, introverted, bibliophile. Warm and caring personality that surfaces at the right times. Such as clinging to my arm when we walk in public.
Also has to be forgiving of my constant screw ups.

but, what's a reasonable time here ?some member didn't even check IB often , so it's one dilemma i guess
"Reasonable" is subjective to the individual in question. Basically use your gut to assume a reasonable time for the person to return.
I've gone months without even checking I.B. let alone even opening a topic in it. Though recently it's changed a bit since the topics in S.D. kind of fell from a torrent..to a trickle. As long as they post somewhere on the site, it's good enough for me.

ok ill clear a few things up; i just want the people who only choose one to know they should choose a second waifu, most of them don't visit the IB section much.I'm still sticking by my two. I know glass claim Yuki but, he's only made six posts then vanished. Hell, I didn't even know he existed until I finally got around to reading this thread. On the idea of just choose another character. I don't watch a lot of anime in general. The only reason I even found Zero No Tsukaima was because someone suggested it to me when I was bored. On top of that it took me a month to even get around to watching it.
How about instead of ten days we do a "reasonable" time. Lets say you, York or myself disappeared for a while. People have a "reasonable" assumption that we'll come back. While "reasonable" is left up to judgment it just means that newer people just need to drop by on occasion and say "Hey guys, I'm not dead!"

if people that havent posted for at least a good time they should lose their wife because it is not fair they claim someone and they dont even log in again so there should be a time period of how long you can last without posting anywhere in the forumsI completely agree with the above statement.
