There was an interesting article in Newsweek. It discusses Pro-life Atheists. Their argument against abortion is because "life in and of itself is unique and special". The religious stance on abortion is usually because "life is sacred because it is given by god". It is rather interesting to see how two very different outlooks can come to the same conclusion on such a divisive topic.

Currently, I am Pro-choice but, the more I think about it the more I notice inconsistency in American laws. Currently, you can have an abortion and it's legal but, if a pregnant woman is murdered the murderer will be charged with double homicide (one for the woman and another charge for the unborn baby). Now for those of us who support abortion you would have to, by logic, support changing the law so that someone can't be charged for the death of an unborn baby in such a circumstance.
If you get the chance I suggest picking up a copy of this Newsweek (Has black & white picture of Obama boarding a plane). The article is on page 18 and is title "No God- and No Abotions"
