We used to play 14:00 CST (Central Standard Time), which was 20:00 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
12 CST would be 18:00 GMT.

BTW I'm Hungarian so my genome is a total mish-mash. Originally the Carpathians were populated by Slavs then our "ancestors" (ha! I wonder how much of our current genome we share with "them") came and conquered the area. They were probably mongoloids. When the country took on Christianity we had a small influx of goths. Then we had various other people settle in the country under various pretexts under different kings - the biggest of these were to repopulate areas after the Tatar invasion - the Kuns, the Besenyők, the Saxons (not the same saxons who conquered the British Isles but their late descendants). These people (the original Slavs, the Hungarians and everyone else) intermingled. Then we had the Turkish conquest (1500-1700) which brought even more ethnicities to the area...

...so afterwards I think we had quite a mix.

OK. Here's a novel concept: Freedom is not absolute. Freedom can only extend as far as it can, without interfering the freedom of others...

It's a corporation for fuck's sake! It's not a person. It doesn't have a mother, a father, a spouse or children to support. It only has share holders who will abandon it at the slightest discomfort and leave it like the cheap hooker it is. (That's the way it's supposed to be. Corporation should die and be born to revitalize the economy). There is *no* *whatsoever* function of a corporation that would directly serve the public. It's sole purpose is to turn a profit.

Unless the people put down guidelines and exercise stringent control over them, corporations will break any and all standards of community for a greater profit margin... cause that's how they're made and a CEO who won't do so will be fired and replaced by one who does. Why? Because the later made the company more successful.



So it enforcing illegal working hours, abusing its employees by holding true to the letter of the law instead its spirit doesn't warrant *any* repercussions?

Beside how the fuck *are* we supposed to control and regulate corporations if not through the government? It's the government's fucking function: express our will, that is the will, "we the people".

Even if it isn't breaking the law if the public is outraged and finds their conduct appalling, then law makers should outlaw such conduct...

Funny thing is, most people *already* paid for an education. It's called *TAX*. It's a basic human right, not some privilege for the elite or wealthy.
It's also a cultural program, but don't tell me that the "no focken child left behind" program that impressed upon the schools and teachers the need to turn out satisfactory statistics - that they should rather pass a child through whatever means - than do their job and teach and prepare has *nothing* to do with the situation?

I hate to burst your bubble, but the problem is a lot graver than that. Electricity - as it is - is very dependent on fossil sources (coil, oil, gas), but instead nitpicking you to death I suggest a very good reading:

It is a realistic look at renewable energy, it comes to the conclusion that things *could and should* be done, however it also admits that we don't yet have a long term solution just midterm actions that could buy us more time.

Nuclear energy is yet yet portable enough for public use - or the public can't be trusted with it. We'll have beta isotope sources in a while, but they're not powerful enough for industrial purposes only telecom & IT. (They're about as powerful as our current Li-ion batteries and can run for decades).

...however I'm a big proponent of nuclear energy as a whole as right now we're really cavalier about it. Most of the "spent" nuclear fuel in our current "once through" cycle could be still used if reprocessed, and even depleted uranium can be used if placed into a so called breeder reactor. (This isn't sci-fi or even proposed technology. We already had and operated such power plants). Thorium another non-fissionable but fertile material (like depleted uranium) could also be used in these reactors and we have massive untapped Thorium reserves.



I have to both agree and disagree with you: America - "we the people" - had a better deal under Saddam. However the plutocracy that runs your country (the sum of the corporate world) got a better deal out of the Invasion than you think.

Look up what sort of government subsidies, massive paychecks they get from the whole deal. (Let's not go into over Haliburton). Also look at the laws in Iraq. They're an outrage and the dream of any exec who wants to make some quick buck and damn the consequences. Did you know that any upstart company in Iraq has to have an American partner who can then siphon off the profits from the country?

The American people have to pay a lot more for their oil than they did, even the oil companies only get a slightly better deal. However the public was also forced to pay for the whole endeavor while execs like Neutron Jack (of the Intel fame who fired tens of thousands of people leaving only barren buildings, hence the nickname) are profiteering off the lot of you.
