Being a manager is not an easy job.

On occasions, it may not be the manager who makes the team; it may be the team who makes the manager. I was discussing the issue with one of my colleagues. Take for example the Barcelona of today, with such talent available in the squad, it is not difficult to pull off wins against lesser opponents, but of course, expectations are just as high.

Assuming a manager from Barcelona moves to another club after winning lots of trophies, would he be able to pull off the same feat again with the new team?

Hopefully, I will find some images that interest me, although I doubt I will ever change my current (and only) avatar. :)

The weekend is just around the corner everyone! Work hard for another couple of days and we will be able to relax soon! Then again, some of you might have to work on weekends, which I can empathize with.

My viewpoint is similar to that of many other members, namely that of neutral.

A lot of factors come into play when determining whether a person is "good" or "bad". The enviroment would be a good example. A rich child who is spoilt from young may be taught to take advantage of others in order to achieve his/her goals. Although s/he may not necessarily be committing any crime in the process of doing so, it can be seen as unethical. On the other hand, a child living in poverty might have to survive by pickpocketing or stealing from others. These actions break the law, but can we fault him/her for wanting to survive?

Of course, at the end of the day, we are given the choice to decide our own fate and alignment.

I reckon its because you are new, some of the employees are attempting to "test the water". They are trying to determine whether you are a no-nonsense manager or one whom they can take advantage of in future.

Your first few major decisions would be critical in laying the foundations of your career at said company. I would recommend that you be firm in your orders to your staff and ensure that all work is done properly. However, when it is time to relax, you might want to speak with them in a more informal manner.

Show them that you mean business while working and once all duties are completed, everyone is of equal standing.

The above is my two cents worth of opinion.

To tell the truth, I am neutral on the issue of role-playing, but I am quite curious to see whether a new section catered to such an activity will add depth and dimension to the Fakku community.

As always, we can have a trial to gather results and as well as feedback from all parties. The various staff members can take turns monitoring the situation for further data collection.

Mod Note: I am glad to see that another writing contest is coming up. It will serve to increase the popularity of the Writing (and Lemons) section.

Mystery shoppers are people who enter stores as guests and observe or interact with the staff to determine how good or bad their service is. Some of them are paid rather well, or so I have heard.
