Do I have to be the one to go out on a limb and point out that all of you are spewing "CP is bad" just because you have been conditioned to think so? I mean, think about it for a moment. When does it become bad? When the children participating are seventeen? Because that's child pornography in the United States. But really, seventeen year olds having sex is normal, and legal in many states in the United States. What about sixteen? Seems normal. Fifteen? Fourteen? Thirteen? Twelves? Eleven? Why is the line drawn at eighteen? When many states have an Age of Consent at sixteen?
Eighteen because that is when minors legally become adults? Why does legal status matter? Eighteen is somehow mature enough? Who is to say that? I've known sixteen year olds who have more maturity than twenty-four year olds my age.
Yeah, I understand we have to have a universal number, and somehow, seemingly magically, we decided that number was eighteen. But do any of you really think about what that means? Or do you just spout off "OMG CP IS WRONG!!!" without having a conscious thought on the situation yourself.
Ok, let's think about it. Even without law, at 17, who the heck is actually COMPLETELY ready to comprehend the responsibilities of being sexually active? For girls, it means possible pregnancy. And for kids who are younger, they may not even understand and create a warped perception of sex as something negative rather than something natural and meant as an act of loving consent.
The age of consent is what it is in order for children to be at an age for sex when they are considered at least basically educated, old enough to make personal life changing decisions, and able to bear the responsibility of their actions while understanding what they do.
Kids don't need sex in their lives: they have other learning to do, and starting too young will throw that out of whack, possibly for the worst.

I can sum this up in one question:"If you didn't want kids, then why did you have unprotected sex?"
Clearly you've never been raped and pregnant.
Sadly, lots of women HAVE. And not all of them want a permanent reminder of one of the worst things in their lives.
Even if one becomes pregnant without rape, why should they be forced to carry to term (for just under a YEAR, mind you) a being they either cannot or do not want to support later on?
Okay, that is one case where the woman should be allowed to have an abortion. However, if the woman is being forced to carry the child to term like you said, she always put the child up for adoption if she can't/doesn't want to take care of the child once it's born.
Lol you simplify the process. You should realize a woman has to: feed two beings, stay healthy for both, carry regularly have doctor visits to keep tabs on the human growing inside her, DELIVER the damn thing into the world, and then go through the possible pain of separation/guilt for having given birth to it and then needing to give it away.
Abortion is a much simpler, more economic, and less emotionally upsetting processes when done early and correctly.
I don't endorse loli, or shota, one bit.
High school character manga I'm alright with: children of the same, almost adult age, and in relationships IS normal.
It's when people depict children in situations with clear adults that it becomes a problem. Yes, it may be harming no one living, but it does give a feeling of normalcy to the situations depicted. It isn't right (and no, not for religious reasons, but rather for simple human decency) to coerce a child into sex. Even when they seem willing.
Children are children because they aren't sexually mature, able to make completely informed decisions, or able to care for offspring.
Yeah, it's not harming kids, but if you like it why not just use your imagination?
However, yes, it has a right to exist under free speech. I don't see why Tokyo is cracking down on loli/shota when they SHOULD be addressing the underground child porn industry that is actually harming kids.

I tend not to read manga online.
If it's available in book form in my country and language, I buy it. Until then, I may download it, then purchase it when it becomes available. I like the physical ownership, and my endorsement of the artist's product encourages manga publishers to keep the author's work available.
Anime I could care less about, but manga... that stuff doesn't make people much money as it is. Why ruin a good industry by turning your back on it?

That said, if anyone here on Fakku chooses Bachmann, trolling or not, I will find you and I will kick your ass to the moon. Unless you are a sadist who wants to be considered a common criminal (on par with child molesters) just because you like hentai or anything else not stringently agreed upon by the most right-wing Fascist church groups.
Good god, THIS.
If she becomes, SOMEHOW, the first woman president, I WILL leave this country. Maybe even this Earth when possible.
I don't get why some men (or women even, to men/women) project all their hatred of one woman upon the entire sex of females.
Hating over half the world's population isn't going to make you many friends.

...and I like Blue Submarine No. 6Dumb of me not to mention it considering my avatar.
A great OVA! I was only sad that it wasn't longer. Range Murata's character designs are always lovely to watch.
In fact, I think I found a model kit of your avatar's character recently: the paint job would have to be well done to make it good, but it would be so cool to have...
Welcome to Fakku, and please stick around! :)
The problem is, taste is quite relative to user.
Not everyone will think a fan-favorite NTR manga is good, and not all may enjoy the world's best vanilla...

By the way, there are no government programs that pay for abortion. At least in the US.
This.
I think the government should pay for abortion and other birth control methods. It's MUCH cheaper than paying for WIC, children's medicaid, and other such programs.
This. At the LEAST, birth control. I know now that women can get the pill via insurance (I think? This was a very recent thing) but why not let men get condoms?
Insurance pays for Viagra, for god's sake. How about a way to STOP guys from making children when they want to?
