Might sound dumb but the first I saw real Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. I watched the show and didn't know that there were actual cards available. The thing is, I already read it. I mean, it's the sweet story of a glasses girl (my favorite) who gets taught the ways of sex by her boyfriend, moves in with him and even gets pregnant. What's not to love about it?

The term is used the same way as with "normal" stories: the genre fantasy refers to a story about a fantasy world and/ or use of magic (like @luckydog001-6127865 already said), the word you mean is fiction as opposed to non-fiction like documentaries or biographies (although I would say most biographies could also qualify as fiction...)
