What made me a COB fan at first was not that I actually liked their music, but the fact that those guys are simply good at everything they're doing, and I have a lot of respect for musicians that can show off actual skills with their instruments. COB members are very high-ranked in terms of general skill in my book.
It's not only COB, but also check out the works that some of their members did for Sinergy or the finnish Guitar Hero compilation album, as well as Janne showing off his keyboard skills in his side project band Warmen. Those guys are so good.

The garage of my brother-in-law, while he was working on his harley davidson custom and I was sitting in the corner on top of some tires doing stuff on my sister's notebook. He had one of those one-sided conversations with me where I would just go "Hmm, yeah." because I was busy browsing the user uploads.
Even though the point of this thread is (I guess.) outdated, I might as well contribute some fucking depressing music here.
The first thing which came to my mind in this thread would be 'Tallulah', by Sonata Arctica. Not only are the lyrics very fitting but those guys are simply good in stirring up emotions in you.
After some more thinking, both Opeth and Stratovarius feature two very depressing songs as well.

Sorry for being so predictable.
It's not that I chose that OP as my favourite because I liked the anime, but that OP really blew me away the first time I saw it - it delayed the actual viewing of the anime by several minutes because I had to go back and watch it over and over, and I still listen to that song more often than I should.

Lucid dreamer here. I always remember my dreams (Ask me on a daily basis what dream I had, I could give you a detailed story every day.) and I have control over them as soon as I realize it's a dream. On the downside, my dreams are often full of emotion, like fear, anger or sadness. And that stays with me for a while even after I wake up.
Today I had one of my usual "nightmares", which aren't even real nightmares but more like a sequence of strange "images". The dream happened in an apocalyptic city with various areas of vienna being layed out right next to each other. We were going on a somewhat-torn highway with various shit like fire coming out of the cemetery cracks. Everywhere around us were zombies, and I got the impression that it would be seriously deadly to get near one of them. While we were going, I actually realized that there aren't any zombies at all (It's confusing now, but it was similar to a feeling of relief, realizing that something isn't actually the case.) and I would look into a side street left to me (Yes, there were buildings and streets on the highway in my dream.) where a 30 year-ish hungarian (No idea actually why I identified him as an hungarian, but I knew.) would slowly walk into my direction, and I kind of got the feeling that it must suck to be him, seeing I'm here with my family and he's all alone. Next thing was that I was running since because I was looking at the side street so much I got quite far behind the rest of my group, but I caught up to them.
Still on the highway, we made it to the entrance of a forest (Yes, a forest.) and I kind of got an uneasy feeling because in crowded and dark forests zombies are generally hard to spot, but we went in anyway. Still on the edge of the forst, we found the nest of a gryphon (Yes, a gryphon.) under a cubic formed bush and tried to get ourselves some eggs since we were in an apocalyptic environment and needed food and everything. The gryphon mother came along, and my sister didn't got the guts to actually take the eggs from her. The gryphon wasn't really big, more like a dog or something. I simply pushed her aside and took one egg from her, and we continued walking. About half a minute later, I realized the same gryphon flying over our heads squealing like an idiot, and I kind of got the feeling that this could mean trouble, and we all started running. Still on the edge of the forest, we were able to still see what's going on on the highway from where we entered, and I suddenly noticed one big ass motherfucker of a gryphon landing on top of some piled trash cars. The gryphon was about six meters in height and had the head of a blonde, 25-ish years old human female. I went "Oh fuck." and the gryphon would start flying up again and circle me. Played some hide and seek, thought myself safe behind a tree, and then it would suddenly land behind me and run after me from the ground. At that moment I thought "I don't know what to do now, it'll get me, this dream sucks." and I woke up.
What's making that whole thing complicated is that, while I'm still dreaming, I'm still thinking. In my dreams, I think and imagine things. I've been several times in a dream where I thought things like "It might have bad consequences for me if I was to open that door, rather wake up." or, in the dream above, I was actively imagining what that gryphon could do to me if it was to catch me, and decide from there on if I should witness it or rather wake up. I really don't think it's supposed to work that way.

any beatmap packs that you should recommend? If I might throw something in as well.
http://osu.ppy.sh/s/7055 - A remixed Touhou boss fight theme. The easy version is pretty doable and the first map I picked up.
http://osu.ppy.sh/s/3900 - A Simpsons song, a bit confusing at first because of it's somewhat-overlaying slides, but not hard to figure out and doable. The easy version, that is.
http://osu.ppy.sh/s/1956 - Monkey Island theme, literally easy to figure out.
My personal starting maps.
Next one I wanted to check out is http://osu.ppy.sh/s/7178 - Fuwafuwa Time, the K-ON! intro. Has an easy version.
Whoo. I beat my first five stars map without any difficulty decrease. Watching that guy's video and now using two keys instead of one for clicks is actually doing wonders.
What's up with New Zealanders and their unmatched talent for stalking people. D:
But no, I'm not that much of a freak. Half of my plays were retries in the first stage of a song, like twenty seconds into it, resulting out of epic fail and it's following rage due to dropping to 65% accuracy right after the start.

But seriously, you're on a row. You've had almost 200 plays - and you've only been playing for like 2 days. What's up with New Zealanders and their unmatched talent for stalking people. D:

Also, did you see the video I posted above, Cyclone (Ranked #1) playing "Justice to Believe"?Now I did.
Back to my five star map then, it is. Who the fuck am I to complain about difficulty anymore.

You have a higher accuracy than even me!I don't think that has any meaning. That's the average of now... four beatmaps. Yay. I've got golden S (Whatever that means.) on a 2 star and a 3 star map, and the best I got on a five star (After now two days of learning it.) is a green B rating, and I'm still constantly failing on it whenever I'm trying to do it on "normal" mode with it's unforgiving HP system.
I watched "Don't say lazy" on auto mode. Bricks have been shat - this game is ridiculous regarding difficulty. Seriously. I can't see myself pulling that off any time soon.
What yo doin in the same channel as dem whitebois, bro?
Better get yo ass back underground ASAP, where da homies at.

One week has passed since I let some of my girls roam the world freely again.
And now, I'll claim the girl which caused me nothing but nightmares in fear of losing her until now.

Looks like they were taking defensive stances once that dude pointed his light at them. Reflexive reactions from a slimeball... fuck you, mother nature.
Picked this game up now, 58% accuracy on the tutorial, wtf I sux.
Seeing someone of the Osu! community is being a terrorist, I had to use my alternative username "nachorz". Add me, or something!
/Edit: A question regarding that game. I now played some easy map, and after I finished it with a "decent" score I moved on to it's version of increased difficulty - where I repeatedly died without any idea why. Several tries later I actually realized that it's because most of those buttons are overlaying each other and I would just have randomly misses popping up without any other means to figure them out but through trial and error. Is that common in this game or is just that one beatmap designer simply sadistic? Running the map on the "Easy" mode makes matters only worse, seeing the buttons get even bigger and overlay each other even more...
