I'm always feeling depressed and having anxiety doesn't help.

I wish I could pinpoint when exactly I started feeling depressed or why, but I know it's been a few years now. I think it's a bunch of things ranging from relationships - most of the romantic ones ended horribly and many people I considered friends screwing me over big time - and low self esteem which I've always had anyway thanks to dickhead family members bullying me as a child for years and my mum sitting back and watching rather than intervening. Said family members are dead or taken a more passive stance now that I'm an adult, but that shit stays with you.

tl;dr My experience with people hasn't been a great one.

Thought you were making a Random thread about people's job histories rather than whether the statement is a question.

That statement is more of an instruction with the same intent as asking a question. They are telling you to tell them why you left your last job, not asking why you left in the conventional sense. Some like doing that to see how candidates react. But for all intents and purposes of the job interview it is still considered an interview question because more common variants like "Why did you leave your last job?" exist.

Does it really matter though? It's essentially the same shit.

Coworkers spent 5 hours chatting out the back while I was on the shop floor on my lonesome on a very busy day. When I had my break it was apparently busy enough to warrant them both going to man the tills, and almost immediately retreated out back again once I finished. I might as well have just run the fucking place by myself.

One of them was on the close though so she had to actually do something for the last 2 hours after I left.

7th September
Bought the GTA trilogy off of PSN. San Andreas I already had so I didn't need to worry about that, GTA3 took 5 hours, and Vice City has so far taken 3 days. 3 fucking days. And it still has 19 hours. [color=red]I fucking hate this goddamned internet provider.[/color]


And my friends are going to Canterbury for the day today but I can't go. Sigh.

9th September
I ate a bag of pistachios today. My mum ate a whole block of vienetta ice cream. According to her eating the pistachios was worse because she wanted some. I wanted some ice cream, so doesn't that make us even?

10th September
Many small things irking me at work.

• Coworkers leaving rubbish and leftover food everywhere out the back. Couldn't leave the shop floor unattended and didn't particularly want to stay behind after I finished my shift to tidy up so I've left it until the morning. I'm a messy person but I make sure my messiness only affects me in my private life. Fucking degenerates.

• Even found a cup filled with mouldy teabags. What the fuck.

• Asked for a bag of £1 coins; meant to get 20 in a bag. I only got 18. Coworker said she'd have a look in the safe for loose coins that may have escaped the bag. She never came back and it was never mentioned again. Not wanting to deal with that later when cashing up I put my own money in there to make it balance out. I count the safe tomorrow as part of opening procedures so if it's £2 up I'm going to take back what I'm owed.

• The latest shift anyone works who isn't closing is 6pm and we normally count a till off about that time while the other person stands at the other till to make things go more smoothly for the person who is closing. However the girl who was supposed to finish at 6 left half an hour early leaving me in the lurch. Trying to count it off solo with customers still about was a big bundle of fun.

• Neither of them signed the paperwork for cashing up so I'll have to get someone to do it in the morning

• And printer's on the fritz again, this time a network issue

But they left their Lindt chocolates behind so I had those.

Mine have come in brown boxes just bigger than the book itself. I think one came in an envelope but that may have been another irrelevant parcel. Either way nothing really to suggest that it's porn unless you open it.

When I subscribed my bank had the name of the site on the Transaction log. It doesn't go back as far as when I bought my last book, but I'm fairly certain it was mostly gobbledegook.

The main focus behind the change is to stamp out cyberbullying, but some of the changes include profanity and innuendos which a lot of genuine content creators all have.



They do go on to say graphic images are fine so long as there's an established context, but they also say "Don't promote your own shit or else advertisers won't like it" and "Don't put explicits (swearing, images) in your title or thumbnail". Considering YouTube's track record with how they deal with Copyright claims I'd say people's concerns that their videos will get demonetised because it's not deemed "Advertiser friendly" over technicalities aren't unfounded.

Only accounts created after a certain date get those odd numbers. Which makes me wonder if they disappear when a newer account has a name change. There's a box with your URL handle in Settings but it's blanked out so we can't change it ourselves.

Manager showed me the ropes for closing procedures. A lot to take on all at once but the concept is fairly simple. She also gave me a lift home.
Her mum's puppy is fucking adorable. Not normally a dog person, but this one made my metaphorical ovaries explode.

Found a fiver on the floor.

4th September
The head of my old shaver broke and can no longer get replacements so I kinda needed to buy another. I went to Argos a few weeks ago, bought one for 15 quid and used it for the first time today.I was done shaving within 5 minutes. I'm used to it taking 20, random bits of my beard getting trapped while shaving (which hurt a bit) and frequently needing to change batteries to maintain the shaver's maximum speed. Well pleased.

13th September
Today I got told I did a good job on my first Sunday shift.
That made me feel a little better.

17th September
Had a stock count on Friday and we finished much earlier than expected.

18th September
Found out almost a year ago we sell Sword Art Online manga on our website (complete with reading right to left). Someone ordered it online thinking it was How to draw manga and after she got her refund it's just been floating around in the stock room ever since. We can't sell it since it comes up on the tills as absolutely free under an odd name and it never appears in stock counts so I figured no-one would miss it if I appropriated it.
Sadly it's the Alfheim Online arc.

25th September
Survived the chaotic shitfest known as Payday weekend. Actually managed to do what I needed to in the end. Had to clean up 2 spills, do 6 refunds/exchanges overall, 2 of which were to apply discounts they missed for this Privelage thing we're doing because they're fucking awkward, continuously lost the will to live when displays I tidied were wrecked 20 minutes later and products were opened and not put back or they damaged the box to open it, but I survived. Just. Working a short shift tomorrow then I get a few days off. Bliss.
