Go double check, because this only happens when your unicode is not set in Japanese.
Remember it's the non-unicode, the System Locale.

Honestly play the laid back ones, or since they watched the anime, why not try making them play the Original VN, like shuffle for example. The anime pretty much fucked up Kaede.

It is set to japan, its been that way since I installed Sengoku Rance

There's some Xbox emulators, but don't hope for something miraculous in the quality. It will probably be as complicated as the PS2 emulator.

Players are rude with old-timers like me. Just played against an archfiend player, and he was just playing like facing normal duel. Problem is I need to read card descriptions, and he called me a retart for eing slow at reading it...
Seriously can anyone here memorize each description any archfiend cards... lol

Using applocale on Rance02.exe directly gives me the same J a b ファイル... error and then black screen, sorry :(
