Yeah I was thinking it might be you or Zengar, but after I won it I was pretty sure it wasn't Zengar since I don't think I'd ever beat him on anything :p

It was looking to be a nice low price of 24500 but that other guy kept incrementing it by 1k hoping to beat me in the last 5minutes, til giving up at 29500. Still not a bad price for 2 covers and doujins. The suguha one was going for 16k+ alone from what I saw.

And yeah.. that guy alone seems to have like 1/2 the supply of all Nanase Mel Chi covers up for auction :p

Yeah SAO seems to be really popular, despite having quite many flaws in the anime adaptation (and perhaps source novel too). And Asuna is at the peak of popularity, even though Suguha was so much cuter ;( I did enjoy the anime overall, but I wouldn't say it was anything great or especially memorable. Character designs are nice though!

Ended up getting those 2 covers (obviously) and also the Essentia Suguha/Leafa one.. so I've 2 covers total of Asuna and Suguha now then..

So, as I mentioned previously, I had an incident with Yokatta telling me they shipped an item but it was never in the shipment they sent. It turns out now after much discussion and further investigating (with Yokatta being certain they had included it in the shipment according to their database), that Stylus never actually sent the item to them due to an error on Stylus' part, so they will be sending it to Yokatta soon. So yay item not permanently lost, but how the hell did Yokatta end up thinking they had sent it to me too...



Mmm I like the art style, though I'd rather a cover with 2 sides of Suguha as Suguha since she looks cuter than as Leafa ;< I'd probably end up getting it still if it's not too pricey on YJA but I imagine it will be extremely expensive..

Nothing too urgent for me from Comiket, all the stuff I'm certain I'd want to get are company covers that will get web releases. But I suspect a bunch more stuff to pop up as we get closer to the date..

Interesting video. I think the main thing lacking from my point of view was that you didn't have any official/authentic dakimakura as a point of comparison to the quality of the bootlegs. Ideally one with the exact same image on it, but it's pretty hard to justify getting an identical one if you're pretty happy with the bootleg one already, with them being so expensive. Also there's even more types of materials for authentic covers than there is for bootlegs, so it gets complicated fast ^^. But a direct comparison in at least feel and image clarity between a hoobyheart 2way tricot and an authentic two way tricot would be good.

If you have a camera, you should try posting up the covers to give people a better impression of what they've turned out like! The sample shot of the first one looks like a vector trace of the original one or something, as it's lacking huge detail in the shading department. Or maybe it's an earlier mid-progress version of the original that they were somehow able to find..

Hmm guess I've just been being lucky and avoided that then.

Hmm it loads super fast for me both from home and at work. Scrolling is I guess related to the relatively high resolution images and your pc being a bit old perhaps? It's a bit chuggy scrolling on my work laptop at times.

I guess the larger images may be what makes it load slowly for you too.
