But to prefer certain mangas because their story is "unrealistic" or "hard to understand" is just stupid. From a mangakas point of view (and I should know because I am studying to become one in Japan.) Naruto and Air Gear have amazing storylines. And I stopped reading One Piece for the repetition. It's always the same thing. Luffy always fights someone stronger than him and eventually kicks his opponents ass. Yea, I must actually like Seinen genre manga. But was Shonen manga always this retarded? Their stories aren't hard to understand, there is no story, or it's just stupid. Naruto, it's story...makes sense, but it's hard to relate to now. Air Gear...makes some sense. And is also hard to relate to. One Piece has a constant theme, friendship and having people you can trust and love is key to happiness. Repetition...? What do you want it to do? Turn into something like Code Geass or Death Note? The pacing is perfectly fine. There was even a time when Luffy and Zoro were wiped, well, that actually happens often.

Add daughters. Add a mysterious girl who emanates an aura as if detached from the world. Add a rival to that Black Dragon fellow. Add a group that hates the Black Dragon fellow. Add a guy/group that tries to make a profit off of this whole thing. Mountaintop, forest, pandas, bears, lions, jaguars, tigers, eagles, clouds, springs, spirits, temples, statues, sculptures, dragons. Think of ideas that could resolve current conflicts of the possible characters (people love starting their characters out with some issue) or ways that could create new conflicts for the possible characters. MORE, MORE, MORE.
