I've been in a situation somewhat similar to the one you describe. My advice is to clear your mind while you're gone. After all, there's no use sweating over the heat on another planet, right? Let home worries, etc stay home and just concentrate on the relaxing simplicity of where you'll be.

I meant to try it at one time or another, back when someone suggested it to me here in May of '07 or sometime, but I never got around to doing it. But I'm too obsessed with something else right now to bother seeing something else. Granted, it does look entertaining. I'm just not easily motivated to go watch stuff.

There is no such thing as an anime that requires people be intelligent to find amusing. An idiot can keep himself entertained, as well as be entertained by almost anything.

I have not seen Code Geass myself, but it doesn't look like anything special. Nothing outstanding about it, and Lelouch is entirely too skinny. He seems like a cool guy, but he's just way too damned skinny.

And I understand why elfen lied might get a bit pissy, what with all the Code Geass stuff that is said when, indeed, there are probably many better anime out there. Wouldn't you get pissed if a group of about 20 people at your school tried to say... Naruto was better than Code Geass/your favorite anime?

Umm... For something similar to Snow Sakura, I would say Come See Me Tonight 2 or Pick Me, Honey! The art style is different, but they're both in the same sort of modern period of time. Pick Me, Honey! Has three girls (although there are five good hentai endings) fighting for the heart of the main character, who grew up knowing his marriage was predetermined to one of them.

Come See Me Tonight 2 is about the son of a shrine priest who's inheriting his father's legacy now that his father's dead. In order to be a priest, he needs a wife, so he must pick one of three shrine maidens (four girls to choose, however) to become his wife.

I would recommend Come See Me Tonight 2 out of those two, just because I thought it was sweet. x3 I'm a sucker for a love story.
