Mote Mote was dumb--but for one reason, and one reason only. Mote Mote wasn't about the girls, it was about their series.
i.e. Haruhi would win out against the hypothetical hottest chick in the anime universe (again, this is a hypothetical) simply because there are only two kinds of people: Haruhi FANATICS and people who don't give a shit.

Why the fuck does this avatar remind me of Nashrakh?
I miss the old days.
When Harmonian, Nashrakh, Captain Badass!, Kadushy, Coco-tan, GracefulDiscension., PumpJack McGee, Catastrophe_DX, HentaiElder, and lollollol12 were active.
When the Jesus of Fakku was black.
When Solva-tan made sigs for everyone.
When KLoWn had less than 2000 reps.
When lazyasschillypepper thought he was going to be the Fakku Architect.
When threads like these were made three times a day, everyday.
Good times. Good ol' times.

My vote is to legalize it.
Will it bring the state money? Fuck no it won't. Please, if the state is planning to charge enough on pot to make a tidy profit, people will just buy it from dealers or grow it at home: just like they do now.
Will it lower crime? Significantly.
I have never done pot, nor have I ever had a desire to, nor do I believe I will ever have the desire to. I think it's a stupid decision to make, but as an American, I believe the people have the right to make that choice without the government stepping in to up the ante.

Mac OS, Born and raised. My family's very first computer was a Mac. I've used PCs and I've found Macs to be a much more enjoyable experience overall.

A video game that will never bore me? Minecraft./thread
Damn, Mine-craft doesn't work in my browser anymore.
I'm gonna put Dwarf Fortress, I've only played it ounce but it is insanely deep. I can't imagine getting board with it.
That's why you download it. I'm not talking classic Minecraft, I'm talking Minecraft Alpha, AKA Minecraft "Survival". Ridiculously entertaining.

You want my take on Twilight?Well from a writer's point of view.
Her characters are one dimensional. Pretty much, they just get emotion for whatever situation they are in. There is no real carry over and no development for it and it is pretty short term if there is. And let's not forget relationships for no other reason than to force them into a relationship. No development or compatibility.
Plot wise it is one blaring mess. Other than from being so freaken obvious. There are plenty of random information that is placed into it that just isn't needed and in no way relates to plot. This is a no no. Everything should relate to the plot in some way. Either by having the character make certain choices and developments, or if it is directly furthering the plot along.
Purple prose. A lot of it. Not the worse I've seen, but no where near good. Detail need to be crisp. Only only enough information is presented for the picture to form. This can be a difficult thing to accomplish because you can never be too sure how much is enough. But it isn't difficult to see when things like this overwrite details to the extreme.
Just uses of literary devices, concepts and cliche`s. Either too much, in a bad way, or just completely violates them.
Did not do fucking research. Some people seem to think this is unimportant. But this could not be any less true. When you write, you need to write what you know.
People also confuse what research can actually mean. It doesn't necessarily mean you need to read a bunch of documents on the situation. It also doesn't necessarily mean you need to read all the tales and stuff.
Research could be designing the way the need to be out. Like for example. When you are designing your dragons. You need to design how they are at. Are they going to be able to take human form? How do they fly? What type of powers do they have? How does everything fit together?
Of course you need to be familiar with the lore. Meyer's problem with the vampire is that she did no prior research. In either constructing her creatures out carefully, or any of the prior material. The point of not consulting the prior material is that you need to understand why something is called what it is.
Vampires are vampires because of, despite having such fundamental weaknesses, they are terrifyingly powerful.
And the reason that you know she didn't do her proper research into how her creature was constructed, is that she didn't properly give them any weaknesses. The point to having power is to also have weakness with that power. Whether you are the hero or villain it doesn't matter. No one likes a hero that just come in everything he needs to take care of everything and there is no reason why he shouldn't. And no one likes a villain that just trumps everything thing you do.
Why? Because it doesn't allow for conflict. Something that is highly important for a story.
When what you have doesn't allow for conflict, you should reconstruct it. Instead, Meyer had to nerf them in some form or manner that doesn't add up. And it shows.
Oh, and Bella was a SI with Sueish properties. Let's not forget that.
Which leads me to another point of view, that isn't from a writer's.
Because Bella is her self-insert. If you look at that fact, she also had made Edward an eternal 17 year old kid. For no other reason than to make him 17 forever.
If you take into account the sexual nature that is pretty much the only aspect of their relationship. Well basically Meyer is someone who gets her jollies off imagining getting off with underage boys.
And taking into account this was a dream. Well basically Twilight is the Wet Dream of a 30 something mormon who wanted to bang underage boys. Oh, and the forceful aspect, shouldn't forget that part of it.
I agree with you wholeheartedly on each point.

At first, I thought this was going to be another ill-fated attempt to fictionalize and dramatize the daily hustle and bustle of the FAKKU forums, as I've seen many; however, upon seeing your art style, I'm actually fairly confident that you've got something good going on here.
Keep up the good work, this looks promising.
To add to my last paragraph, which I ended abruptly without finishing my thought, Meyer's use of "descriptive language" can be as revolting as reading a middle school crossover fanfiction. There are various points in the series where she uses synonyms of the same adjective in conjunction with one another to describe a single subject. It could be possible that she's simply preying on the possibility that her targeted demographic wouldn't recognize such a literary faux pas, but it's more likely that she took a simple adjective and looked it up in a thesaurus, opting to use all of the results instead of just the most appropriate.

Um what?
Are you talking about when I called you a boy because you kept trying to shove words in my mouth even though from previous information you should have know I was not stating? I suppose that could be a "logical, calm argument" as you say.
Yeah.
Or are you talking about your retarded attempt at trolling in which I just did slight word play on because it was sad?
Would you have preferred me just calling you a retard for doing it?
And you nega rep me? Is that suppose to show me something?
I'm talking about how I mentioned I was a writer, so you tried to make that your next ill-fated and unwarranted point of attack. And, seeing as I've made every attempt to provide as much information as is necessary for one to see where I'm approaching from, my opinion and its presentation can hardly be considered trolling.
And, unless you're 10 years old, no. Negative rep is nothing more than someone visually representing their opinion on your character on the forums. Don't blow things out of proportion.
tl;dr troll harder 0/10
Um no. I actually paid no attention to your mention of being a writer. It wasn't important.
Though I'm wondering what type of writer does know the "Write what you know." aspect.
The point of you "trolling" was when you decided to try and make a horrible pun then highlighted the game. It was a shitty attempt at trolling.
Or maybe you don't get that.
And I didn't take into question your attempts at presenting information. I took into question you trying to shove an argument into my mouth that I wasn't making. Especially when I had already made a statement otherwise prior.
Did you want me to call you the idiot you were for making that mistake or something? Would that have made you feel better knowing you were an idiot?
Lol, it's psuedointellectuals like you that remind me of why I stopped coming to the forums in the first place. Except this time, I'm just going to be the bigger person and ignore you.

To reiterate my post in this topic, I don't think Twilight is bad as a result of her choice to change up vampires and werewolves, HOWEVER, I do think Twilight is bad. Terrible, even. Perhaps the worst book ever published. From a literary standpoint, the Twilight saga looks to be the generic story written by a lovesick, potentially Goth teen girl who classically writes herself in as the main character. The main character is a definitive Mary Sue, for those who are familiar with the term, and for those who aren't, it basically means she has absolutely zero flaws whatsoever except for those which lead her to be a character endearing to the book's projected demographic: teenage girls.
