Quick fix to that is you make a tab for your reply and make another tab for the board / thread you are replying to.
If you stumble upon the maintenance page, you can refresh the other tab to check.


But then again, I do agree that this issue should be fixed.

Now, I can't make a thread and have a topic image in it, since this dev mode was released.

I tried everything from clearing cache / browsing history, to switching to an updated browser, to clearing its cache.

All I got was a URL with a suffix "/submit" and a page that says "no data received".
