I just checked some recent threads in IB and they don't have such negativity (as you mentioned).
Personally, if people want to express their dislike for something, fine, so the ideas getting shot down is nothing special, and the trolling depends on how you interpret the post. I'm sure some people interpret my posts as trolling, when I'm merely trying to get a few laughs here and there, not to rage people and cause disorder (unless I have the intention of fucking with somebody, then fine, say I'm trollin').
I see this more on the lines of how lazy you are. You make a new thread. Let's say in an hour it gets pushed to the second page. All you have to do is click the second page link and you found your thread. The lazier we are, the more convenient it is to have our threads placed before our eyes with as few clicks of the mouse as possible.
