Go back to his house and manually set it to your TV's resolution. I assume the screen will then go blank for him so you'll have to figure out a way to view the lower res at his house so you can confirm the switch.

Ok, I see how this is going. Do you guys just grab anything you could use as a weapon at first? or did you all just look for the good looking ones? There are no "good looking ones." You pick up whatever you can find, bash some skulls, and level up so you can finally start getting the good shit. The start of this game sucks. It's boring until you get the hang of zombie killing, get some decent shit, and have a bunch of side quests to do.

How bad are the Aussie accents?Fucking annoying. I've heard australians talk before and they don't say "mate" as much as the mike tyson tattoo motherfucker in this game does. He also sounds like he's trying too hard to be australian.

How does the heal system work?in the beginning mostly drinking Energy drinks. Don't know later on but I believe there are healt packs.
the healtbar is devided in blocks and the last block regenerates so you mostly have 1 block of health at all times
Can you hold as many health items as you want? Or are you limited to a certain amount?
You can hold as many mod parts or miscellaneous objects as you want, but weapons have a limited space. Health packs count as part of that space. Default is 12. So much Borderlands in this game.
According to this guy, the animations are not so great, there are texture pop-ins, and the story starts off like a bitch. My reaction: I don't give a fuck. This is all shit I can tolerate, and texture pop-ins with a game like this is understandable. The dude mentions how much was used from Fallout 3, but it makes me wonder if he ever played Borderlands. Way more shit has been taken from that game, and speaking of Borderlands, the story there was dick and yet the game was fun as hell. If it's true that Dead Island is fun and has a creepy atmosphere, then I'll enjoy the fuck out of this. Day one purchase, only two days left. I'll probably write up a more thorough opinion on this game when I'm done with it.

I'm not sure I agree with RBZ about the mini-map and objectives. Philosophically, the mini-map was often just a way of representing things that Jensen either already knows(the layout of Sarif Industries and his Detroit neighborhood) or things he has access to(the layout of the Industrial Complex you infiltrate in the first mission). Objectives are marked when people tell you where they are, but in some cases they are left off because Jenses doesn't know where they are(like the hostages in the Industrial Complex). After playing the game, my only real problem with the mini-map was that it couldn't be turned off. I appreciated the little conveniences it gave me and exploited the fuck out of them. I'm not sure, however, that we're thinking about the same thing. When you mention the "layout" it seems to me like you're talking about the map in one of the menus, not the little box on the bottom-left of the HUD. That map was useful as fuck; I was probably looking at it every 5 minutes.
Not being shown where objectives are on the main map would probably make playing the game tedious, but it's still hand-holding. Why does the mouse need to be led to the cheese? With a game like this, the objective description should be enough to let one know where to go. The rest could be handled with signs, e-mails, or tips from other people.

I was watching it like, come on even if she is homeless, has no dignity or respect for herself, there are a million ways you could have portrayed that same character got that same point across. That sounds vaguely familiar. It reminds me of what a certain article in TIME says.
Oh, and because she holds out on info to make sure she gets some cash first.
She's a bitch about it, too. 2,000 credits just to be told to go play around in the sewers? After I was done with her, she probably could've eaten for a fucking year. I happened to have saved beforehand, but I gave her a few Hot Devils as a consolation prize.

The character in Deus Ex: Human Revolution isn't based on real people, even if real people resemble her. It's based on stereotypes. The only stereotype I could possibly imagine the developers applied to her (consciously or otherwise) is the way she speaks. Other than that, she's a homeless person who happens to be black. So? Have you played the game? There's diversity among the homeless.

all your augs will be offlineHA! My playing this game Metal Gear Solid style will finally mean something.
I actually noted the way she talked when I played. It does sound weird, but I wouldn't suddenly accuse the developers of racism considering the amount of homeless people in the game that aren't fucking black (and the amount of diversity in the game in general). That one chick just happened to be one of the hobos with more to say. Fuck if I know what they were thinking, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.
