Same goes to you. I will say your posts usually stands out a lot. Which could be either good or bad depending how you seen it.
The movie will be interesting to watch. I'm fine with confusing movies as long as they provide enough information to solve the confusion. Although there is a few movies that are better of being speculated than explained. Stanley Kubrick's movies being the most famous ones.
How have your day been?
I'd have to agree that Stanley Kubrick's films are quite the spectacles, although, Ive found so few people who have seen one, if any at all (at least where I'm at, anyway). If you don't mind me asking, since I've met so few people who have seen them, is there one that stands out to you?
My day at this point is relatively young, but what has happened thus far would make me say that I've been having a good day. I'm sorry to hear how you day has been, with the rain and all. I hope you find more things you can entertain yourself with for today.
Sorry for the late reply. I had issues buying a music player online.
I feel like every Kubrick movie (I have seen) has something that stands out from the rest of his movies, but more importantly the rest of it's genre.
To answer your question: I have always loved The Shining a bit more from the rest of Kubrick's movies. And the fact that it doesn't stay true to King's book doesn't bother me at all (I even read the book). The Shining stands out from the rest of the usual horror movies because of it's realism. It feels like it could actually happen. The movie deals with sanity rather than oddities.
My favorite scene from the movie as always been this one.
God I love the
music in Kubrick's movies. They fit the scene perfectly.
I'm a bit of a movie person myself, if you already didn't notice.
