The idea would be to have all of one's shell supply already in magazines (would you carry a pouch of bullets along with loaded mags for a rifle?). And even if you were carrying loose shells, the point if to get from cover-to-cover, and mowing through a hoard of zombies can be done very efficiently if you just have to change mags/drums.

Or what if you come-up against a boss zombie like a Tyrant or Uroboros? :lol: The box-mag shotgun would come in awful handy there, just for sheer ammo-dump capability.

Personal interpretation of 2nd amendment follows.

Black rifles, so called 'assault weapons' [what you mean a LAW rocket?] are covered under the Federal constitution (and in the case of Michigan, specifically allowed by the State ('The right of the people to bear arms for defense of oneself and of the state')). In addition, the adage 'When seconds count, the police are minutes away' is very poignantly true. Add in Warren Vs. DC and the breakdown of social order during natural disasters (Rodney King riots, Katrina, ect) and the need for military-style semiautos is apparent.

So you have experience with the Shark Brake? Just because you're deaf from blasting down your competition w/ your Ingram every night doesn't necessarily mean that any compensator is going to aggrandize the muzzle report than normal. Had I posted a pic of the Hungarian AMD-65 you might have a pint but I haven't heard anything about the Shark Brake increasing noise levels. Secondly, it's an AK. You can wallow it in mud and it'll fire, I don't think a little coagulated blood will affect operation, let alone last a couple discharges. And the brake is made from milled pressure-cast aluminum (or billet, not sure) but either way it's pretty strong, I'm sure stronger than weakened zombie-bones (or more importantly, zombie skulls).

As for your issue about weight, I picked an AK over a SBR FAL (see SA58 OSW) or other such weapon. Weight and mobility aren't my foremost concern. Plus, having 75rnds could be a help in hairy situations.

And shells being hard to carry, that's the point of picking the Saiga-12, which uses box-mags or drums. Yes they're even more bulky than AK mags but for sheer stopping power and my 'fighting style', a shotgun is a must.

I agree there. The Swiss Military actually trains soldiers to use semi-auto instead of full-spray. Besides, with as hard as the 7.62 Commie round hits, you really don't need auto unless your a shit-shot.

AK-47 w/ CAA High-End Conversion Kit. (+ Tromix Shark Brake and Vltor Modstock)
-The AK-47's 7.62x39 has alot of stopping power and leaves a very large hole in whatever you fire it at. Compared to 5.56 NATO, which only goes through one wall of a cinderblock, the 7.62x39 round completely obliterates said cinder block. Range might not be as good as a AR-15 but MOA on better-quality guns is 1-2 MOA (good enough for a headshot @ 150yds). Plus the thing will never, ever fail to fire. Even in semi-auto only it's a great survival weapon.

Saiga-12 Shotgun (sportsterized w/ stock/pistol grip)
-Well, who wouldn't face zombies without a good shotgun. and what better than the semi-automatic, box-magazine fed, AK-actioned Saiga-12? Imported with a combined grip/stock to stay a 'sporting weapon' there are lots of parts to get it back-up to combat snuff. Plus, magazines come in 5,8,10,and 12rnd box and 20rnd-drum flavors, so ammo lasts and reloading is stupid fast, good for crowd control. Plus this sucker will take whatever ammo you want to shove into the chamber, shot, slugs, ect.



So this is my Zombie-fighting loadout. $2500 will get me it all tomorrow at my local gun store if I had the cash.

I've thought about that as I aspire to be a published writer (with at least one of my works turned into an anime) and though I'm not apologizing for anything I've said or done here, I've written some smut that, while nowhere near the level of what Frank McCoy got prosecuted over, would still technically be illegal (Miller test, local obscenity, ect). I feel the same way about male circumcision as I do about female circumcision. It's horrible, torturous, and disgusting. It has no reasonable medical basis, causes immense pain, and drastically reduces sensitivity. There are cases where it is needed (phimosis) but that is on a case-by-case medical basis.
