So I take it..The game actually sucks.
yes and no
Could you go into detail?
I kinda get the appeal of the game,
But there are times when I thought about playing it. However with the likes of Hawken and Phantasy Star I doubt there would be room for a third online game.
Though I hear from a lot of people that it is a timesink.
From a player standpoint it's a fine game. It's a MOBA style game that relies heavily on teamwork. Each game lasts about 30-45 minutes on average and there are over 100 playable characters that are mostly unique within the game.
From a dev standpoint, it's terrible. The company that makes the game tries to control the metagame as well and they work on a bad business model- microtransactions in the game for purely visual changes, microtransactions for things that you can get just for playing anyway, and a new character every two weeks to keep interest high.
It's fun to play and a decent way to waste time.
Bad business model? What? That's a great business model. There are many games out there with micro transactions that rely heavily on people buying overpowered gear and boosts, in that way even though a player is far more skilled, he will never be better than the guy who spent $500 on his character. In League it's the opposite, there are no boosts that give your character a one up over other people, whether you pay or not you have a fair chance in every game.
Of course, in comparison to Valve's business model, it sucks, but other than that it could be so much worse.

Your account isn't actually connected to your Facebook account, that was the joke. The Like buttons however don't seem to be a joke, they work for whatever profile is actively logged into Facebook in your browser, probably done through scanning your cookies or something.

Lol.Hey this is sort of random but I've been meaning to get into SGO, how strategic is it in comparison to Magic? The art looks amazing.
Has anyone actually been keeping up with all the news so far? This game is going to be huge and for many years to come, I can't wait to dive into the lore for each system. It's being built with CryENGINE (Crysis 3) by the way, directly by the development studio without a big corporate publisher getting in the way of quality. The amount of depth and detail they've put into ships alone already is awe inspiring, there's even support for HOTAS, flight chairs and rudder pedals!

Most current gen “AAA” games have around 10,000 polygons for a character and 30,000 or so for a vehicle. In Star Citizen, the characters are detailed at 100,000 polygons, the fighter at 300,000 and the Space Carrier 7 million! This allows unparalleled detail, making the visuals more immersive than has ever been achieved before.Star Citizen wrote...

But if it is as small as you state (in there eyes), the argument can also be used in reverse as to why Sony doesn't touch the shares in SquareWhich is exactly why I added the point that they just made a contractual agreement with them, which means they must obviously have some faith that FFXV is going to do well and that Square will eventually see a decent profit now or in the future. I can almost guarantee their continued support of Square even if FFXV fails. Final Fantasy is in no way a small part of what made the Playstation & Playstation 2 a huge success, if they don't buy them out or bail them out someone else will and it is not feasible for them to lose one of the biggest gaming franchises in history to one of their competitors, it wouldn't bode well for their own Playstation 4. Both companies have a very, very long history with each other and I just don't see Sony giving up on Square just because they haven't done well for the past couple of years.

Ic, so XV will be versus. I do wish that Square would get it's act together, here hoping it'' be midway decent.
Honestly this I don't understand, just because Square has made some bad moves in the past few years you think they don't have their act together? Lets not forget how many years Square has been around and how many successful titles they've had, you can't discredit the rest of their history over only a few years of bad releases.

They can blame other titles, but there main focus is Final Fantasy, where they put most of there investments into, and it bombed badly. I would assume, that the pay-4-play model that they have been trying to rip from WoW was intended to make up their losses, but only sunk them further in.
They didn't rip or try to rip the model off of WoW, subscriptions have been around in MMORPGs since the days of Ultima, Meridian 59 and Lineage.
I don't think Square Enix is going to "die" anytime soon, Sony will probably bail them out if they go too far down the hole, especially now that FFXV is going to be the main exclusive available for the up and coming PS4. FFXV is using an open-world gameplay model with just as much content as Skyrim and supposedly cities as active as Assassin Creed's, they're catering towards the game play models that people want to see and it will do quite well for them.
They're also revising FFIV, we'll see where that takes them.
Sorry my mistake, I miss spoke, I didn't mean to insinuate that they were specifically ripping from WoW. Just the way the producer speaks makes me think that most everything that will be created, now, in terms of mmo's, revolving around the WoW model. I ended up typing out those thoughts.
My opinion of a Sony bailout.

http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/01/sony-posts-net-loss-of-198-million-for-q2-playstation-profits/
The vita is struggling against smart phones, seems the profit stabilized and grew a little, but still suffer. Most of Sony's money will be going into the PS4, if it becomes another bust/low sell like the Vita, a bailout is unlikely. As well, I really wonder if Sony still has that much faith in Square. Square will have to put out the remake of 14 before the end of the year (their not making any profit(I think) outside of it), if it fails again, it will be bad.
Is there a "definite" release date for XV, or is it up in the air like versus XIII?
The new versus is FFXV, Square has already entered into a contractual agreement with Sony to make it a PS4 exclusive. I imagine they will have it ready by or shortly after it's release, especially considering it's already been in development for the last 5000 years.
Whether or not Sony still holds faith in Square isn't even a question, they would be selling off their shares or preparing to buy them out if that were the case and definitely not making contractual agreements with them.
Sony's reach extends much further than just gaming consoles and handheld devices, they see revenues over $80 million each year and hold over $160 million in assets, about $52 million more than Microsoft. While they've certainly been seeing a loss in profits over the last few years, it's nothing too major. Square Enix is a small company by global standards, only seeing revenues of around $1.5 million each year, bailing them out would be like throwing a dime into a wishing well for Sony.
Square Enix isn't going away anytime soon.

30-story tall giant robots. Jetpacks. Guns. It all started so innocently. Your robot bartender, Tim, used to make the best drinks at your nightclub. But you gave him sentience so that he could better empathize with the customers. Struck by the world's problems, he went crazy, burned your club to the ground, and fled with your twelve exotic robot dancers.Weeks later, giant robots started attacking the City of Boston -- not a coincidence! Drunken Robot Pornography (DRP) is a bullet-hell first-person shooter for Windows. Battle giant robots -- called Titans -- as they try to slice you apart with their lasers. Pick off their missile launchers, fry away their carbon fiber armor, and tear off their claws, leaving them writhing.
Your furious opponents spew raw plasma at you, so you shoot up a force field and duck behind it. Who will win? DRP is available as a playable pre-release on Steam, and includes a fancy Giant Robot Construction Kit.
Currently available on Steam, you can get early access to it for $10 and get a three pack for $20 (save $10). I might just end up buying this for the name and nothing else, though the game play is a bit innovative and looks like it'd be fun too.

Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the fact that there is a massive culture surrounding furries specifically in western society refute your theory about facial identity? Almost all of what you've written is just subjective bullshit. Monster girls are hot and furries are not? People "shouldn't" like furries? No, I'm not a furry by the way, this isn't me getting upset over your opinion. If facial identity actually played much of a role in what people find sexually appealing you'd be entirely right, but as that clearly is not the case, you're not.
And has what Medzy stated ever actually happened? Has a series ever actually failed or people didn't like it because it had a cyclops or disfigured characters in it? Has a manga about a cyclops in it ever actually been created and been good enough to turn into an animated series? To me it sounds like he's bitching because there is a lack thereof, not because there is and attention hasn't been given.
Of course it's subjective- practically everything is. I was stating my opinion. I state them as fact because that is- in fact- my opinion.
Agree or disagree by whatever degree you will- it won't change my view on anything.
Okay then, I'll let you stick to your delusions.

Alcohol dehydrates you, if you drink water throughout the night while you're drinking and before you go to bed your hangover shouldn't be so bad.
Personally I love drinking with a few good friends, perhaps over a game of D&D, at a pub playing games of pool or even just at my house chatting with them over Skype. Really, I can't say I've ever had as much fun as I do sitting around with my buddies talking about the sciences of our world, it's always a good time and there always a lot of laughs. Hell, sometimes I even drink by myself when I want to drown my sorrows and forget about my wounds after a stressful day, if I didn't I'd be more prone to mental breakdowns.
It all depends on why, where and when you drink and who you drink with, it's the exact same way with psychedelics as well isn't it? If you're not in the right mood, not with the right people, not at the right place, you're going to have a bad time.
It seems your lack of appreciation for alcohol comes from inexperience rather than a pure distaste for the substance, your opinion isn't really worth it's salt if it has only one personal experience to go by. Try drinking again, but this time set it up so that you know you're already going to have a good time even without the alcohol.

It came out in '09, it's basically 3.5 with more balance, options, items, creatures etc. Basically what 4.0 should have been but wasn't.I had a few pathfinder books before, I do allow it. If you have a certain book you want me to use I will.
I need your skype though.
