I think I'd only move if we actually did get a decently sized group going.
Well then, how about we ask everyone here if they would be willing to reroll on the same server to create the Fakkuza? If we get enough people we can then decide on the faction and the server.
While waiting for people to comment on this thread I created a character in the New Conglomerate. I'm already a battle rank 7 and I prefer sniper role. It's really enjoyable to sit back, spot people and get a random lucky headshot. The lack of ammo makes me think twice about wasting bullets and grenades(which you have to buy with infantry points).
So far the game is really great, mainly because we are kicking ass and Vanu are almost non-existent. Hope to see more people join in on this awesome game.

"PlanetSide 2 is a science fiction MMOFPS set approximately 300 years after the discovery of Auraxis, although the chronology of the game universe starts a few years before. After the Earth has nearly come to ruin after being torn apart by war, the world's governments came to a consensus and united under one banner: the world-wide Terran Republic (TR). Some time later a wormhole, one which scientists fail to explain, appears and later disappears without a trace. Ex-President of the Terran Republic, Tom Connery, believes that the wormhole is a sign of existing extraterrestrial life and launches several space expeditions. The first expedition to Moon Belt gives a lead—a figurine of alien nature—giving Connery a reason to start a second expedition further into space. Several Terran Republic ships travel through the wormhole and are stranded for a very long period of time; their situation grows dire. Due to the crew's mental exhaustion and provision limit, strict curfews are applied. Later, a vote is held about the necessity of the measures. The positive vote wins, but only barely. There are nearly as many negative votes. A second vote is called. However, a terrorist bomb destroys the ship on which the vote is to occur, killing everyone aboard, including Connery. Curfews pass. Later, the expedition discovers the planet Auraxis, and exactly 175 years later, the war between the Terran Republic and the New Conglomerate breaks out. Following this, a group of combatants calling themselves the Vanu Sovereignty join the conflict."
This game features three factions to chose from:
Terran Republic
An authoritarian government that leverages military might to maintain strict control over the colonial citizens. The Terran Republic is obsessed with the preservation of law and order and are thus seen by some to be an oppressive and dictatorial force, but many view the TR as the only hope for lasting security on Auraxis.
New Conglomerate
The New Conglomerate operates as a loosely organized band of freedom fighters, vehemently opposed to the stranglehold that the Terran Republic has on Auraxis. Led by an unusual quorum of outcasts, industry titans, and pirates, the New Conglomerate is unwavering and prepared to achieve freedom from oppression by any means necessary.
Vanu Sovereignty
The Vanu believe that only through the mysterious power of ancient technology can humanity truly evolve its next state of existence. They are an advanced and cunning faction, employing powerful alien technology on the battlefield. Their singular purpose is to uncover the secrets hidden away in ancient artifacts scattered over the surface of Auraxis and they annihilate anyone who interferes with their progress.
I believe that this game will provide lots of entertainment for us all and that everyone should at least try it. Before I start the game myself, I'd like to know what side you guys want to play. Some games are more fun playing with people you know so it would be more fun to be on one side, grouping together and taking parts of the map in a covert operations.

I forgot to say that we live in New York and their house still has no power so it might take a while for me to try all those suggestions out.

you just have to know where to look.Haven't tried looking for antivirus programs on "those" websites. Now that I did, I'll have to reconsider. Thanks for reminding me of "them" and their ability to provide much needed services for less-than-normal price.

Go with KasperskyIf it was my computer I would, but it's a computer at my aunt's house which is used by two young kids who know little to nothing about viruses and other such problems. I know it would be a good idea for them to get a good antivirus program, but I'm not sure their parents would like the idea of spending even more money on the computer. Because of this, I installed Microsoft Security Essentials last time I was there and it didn't detect the malware.
I need some help in removing specific malware from another computer. This program called otshot didn't go away after a full scan of the computer with malwarebytes. The only two other solutions that I've found through google were "Free Malware, Virus, Worm, Trojan removal Boot CD" which I have no experience with and the following code which looks legit but I don't know if something that simple will be effective.
If anyone has more insight into either of these solutions or something else, it would be greatly appreciated.

Anybody know any good spots to level up?There are two places that I used to catch up on levels. Since you're only level 22 I don't want to spoil anything so I'll deliberately be vague.
First place is before a boss where you have to kill turrets in order to get air support. If you don't destroy the turrets, there will be robots spawning continuously and you can grind out the experience points. There are also shops in the lower area which you can use to get more ammo without having to leave the map.
Second place is just before the last boss. It is in the same room, just before you drop down.If you stay above the drop you'll have access the shop to restock on ammo. What you do is use a long ranged weapon to shoot the flying things. They infinitely re-spawn as well so if you take your time, you'll get to level 30+.
The new DLC was actually pretty good. It added 4-5 new maps, a story missions that you progress in chapters just like the vanilla game, a whole bunch of new side quests (one being a new hard-to-kill enemy called Hyperion the Invincible) and loads of new enemies. I spent well over 4 hours doing all available missions and backtracking.
One thing that I didn't like about it however is that it isn't as polished as the rest of the game. There are a lot of invisible walls and some areas have invisible ground that you walk on that make it feel weird. I would have liked to see a few improvements to the AI on the new enemies, but they are the same old enemies you've already faced just with a different skin.
Overall this DLC is worth the 10 dollars or 30 minute download you'll spend on it as it adds to the overall enjoyment of the game giving you a break from doing the same old quests. The very first place you visit called Oasis gave me quite a few laughs with it's many definitely alive and not dead from dehydration residents.

Yeah, finally got to play Borderlands 2 with a couple of my friends. Still confuse on to choose full Sniping or full ninja style.. with Zero lolI play with rbz, he's a tanky commando and I'm a sniper assassin. Snipers work out great if you max out your critical damage. I tried out a melee build with him but it doesn't feel right. Sure you can do a lot of damage, but that's only on significantly weakened people. I prefer to take people out from distance and hardly get hurt while providing cover for the tank.
My suggestion would be to see if you're comfortable getting crit after crit without missing much or taking too much time with one target. If you're not that good of a shot, melee might be a better choice, but (if you're playing multiplayer) prepare to go down quite a lot.
Side note, try to find a 100% melee damage weapon. Those are relatively hard to come by so if you get it at a lower level, don't sell it and keep it until you acquire a better one.

As you can see, the System screen tells me that I only have 4 gb of ram installed even though I have 6. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
Okay, I started to overclock and I'm increasing the BCLK by increments of 10.
At 21x150 after running prime95 for an hour, max temperatures got to 75,73,73,70C respectively with no errors or warnings. 3.15GHz right now. Going to add another 10 now.
At 21x160 after running prime95 for an hour, max temperatures got to 79,78,77,74C respectively with no errors or warnings. 3.36GHz right now. Going to add 12 more so that it's at 3.61GHz. Might stop there because the temps could reach 85C.
At 21x172 after running prime95 for an hour, max temperatures got to 85,85,82,80C respectively with no errors or warnings. 3.61GHz right now. In the guide that I followed it suggested that the temperatures shouldn't go past 80 or 85 so this is pretty perfect for me. I'm going to run prime95 overnight and see if that will give any errors. Other than that I'm pretty happy and going to try out all my games to see the frame rate difference.
After 8 hours of prime95 no errors. I'm happy with this and I'll just stop testing.
Big thanks to Nachbar and Doomsayer you guys are awesome.

There are all sorts of methods of applying but definitely use alcohol on a q tip after trying to get as much off as possible with a paper towel. Some methods of applying are the figure-8, pea drop, or smoothing out a layer with a credit card. Make sure to wipe off any excess after clamping down the cooler. Also do not touch the pins of the processor or the socket. Don't blow on the socket or use compress air without the processor in place. You don't want any dirt or dust getting in there. You can use it on the processor if you take it out though.
Overclocking is easy as hell with processors with unlocked multipliers. I used to overclock old AMD boards with processors that didn't have them and it required a lot of work figuring your max bus speed, cpu speed, and memory speed, and then figuring out which values would make it work with the best harmony. With unlocked CPU multis you just change the multiplier and then run Prime95 for a bit and if it doesn't give you errors then you are good.
With my board it was able to detect the correct XMP profile of the RAM so I did that and then bumped the multi to 42x as most people said 44 was about the highest you could go on air and just left it like that. I could probably go higher but I don't want to mess with increasing the voltage because I prefer it being cool and quiet.
That said I have no clue how to overclock a locked intel cpu as I'm sure its different from how you do an old AMD board. I would look for articles at overclockers.net or similar to help you out there.

New heat sink barely fits into the case. Followed instructions and still put it on ___ way instead of | way and after unscrewing and trying to take it off, it was hard because the grease created a vacuum like condition and kept it in place. Anyway great results though I'm wondering if I should also get a second fan just for the hell of it.
As for the overclocking I'll make it my task to find out how and I'll consult with you guys about it if you don't mind.
Found this guide Overclocking i7 920 and 930 which is for noobs like me. I'll add any information I get out of that guide to this post. Then we will decide whether what I got out of it is right or wrong.
Okay. I decided to go with this:

Personally I would get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065It doesn't use the shitty anchors and you instead put a backplate on it and screw it down tight into place. It also comes with a tube of decent thermal grease. The trick with grease is that you barely put any on as all you really want the grease to do is fill in any air gaps. Any more than that and its cooling potential goes down. Also the fan pushes a lot of air silently and the copper heatsink and pipes carry the heat very well. Probably the best air cooler of all time. Its also compatible with every motherboard out there.
I am using it right now with my i5 3570K overclocked to 4.2 Ghz and after running all day it idles 40C or less. The highest I have seen it go is 70C but that is if I stress test it with prime95. Usually it never goes higher than about 55.
Its a big cooler but it should fit as long as your case isn't skinny.
OK, just ordered the item and the shipping is around 3 days, I will change the (update) to new update when it arrives and I put it on. I will also ask for some tips on overclocking. I don't want to go too far with it but I'd want a boost to my performance.

Did you apply new thermal paste when you reseated the heat sink this time? If you did I hope that you completely removed the old thermal paste from the heat sink and CPU with some rubbing alcohol, or other alcohol based cleaner, the reason for this is they don't leave residue. Another thing is clean the fins of the cooler with some compressed air... I don't have any thermal paste laying around so I couldn't do anything about that. I just left it as is. The tip about the removal with alcohol based cleaner is an awesome suggestion, I wouldn't have thought to do that.

...I would also recommend a aftermarket cooler like Nachbar said. I have a coolmaster v6 and it keeps my I7 at 30ish degrees, but I am not overclocked ATM. It is a complete and utter pain in the ass to put on though, and its huge.Yeah, I just got one and as he said it includes a paste or grease. I'll make sure to take pictures of the CPU when I apply it just to make sure that I don't put too much of it on. From what I've read I need to put a really thin layer.
Spoiler:
Lower temperatures after re-seating the heat sink. When I put it on the first time I neglected to make sure that it's stationary because I experienced some trouble putting all 4 of the anchors in. While doing that I checked out the thermal paste on the CPU and from what I remember, the CPU itself didn't have any when it came in the box, the paste was on the heat sink and when I ran the computer for the first time it warned me of high temperatures. At that point I powered it off and took of the heat sink to discover that the CPU burned off some of the thermal paste which was now stuck on the CPU itself. So when I checked out the CPU today, I saw some of that thermal paste residue on the CPU and 2/3 of the paste on the heat sink.
I'm eagerly awaiting more suggestions and very hopeful that I could improve my temperatures to the point where I can safely overclock. Thanks again!
