You might be thinking of anthologies, which are not the same as a magazine. Anthologies are stand-alone collections of themed stories (such as "heroines losing against enemies"). If they prove popular enough they might get another volume or two, but they're not released on a regular basis like a magazine. It's like a middle ground between commercial manga and doujinshi, where they can afford to take some risk since it's just a one-off release. In fact, to make a correction to my original post, the futanari magazines I was thinking about were really just anthologies that went on for a couple of volumes.

Anthologies have been brought up before internally, and it's something we might look into in the future.

Ah okay well hopefully Anthologies are picked up for the niche content at least 1 or 2 every month/other month would be nice.

Your first point isn't something I have any control over, but from what I understand, that's not something we can do right now.

As for #2, I can only repeat what I've said in the past. This reply was about yuri, but it's relevant to most genres that I think you'd define as "not vanilla."

Commercial manga rarely has a lot of—in lack of a better word—sub-genres, which can be something as mundane as yuri or something more extreme like bestiality. If they do it's often only a handful of chapters per year at best. Commercial manga is produced for a large market, so as a publisher you want to fill your magazines with content that appeals to as many people as possible. The only real exceptions that come to mind are loli and futanari where there are magazines that have had longtime success as a 100% niche magazine.

As Jacob mentioned, the doujinshi scene is typically where you find these genres. Being self-published with the goal of only selling a few hundred of copies, artists are able to target a smaller niche audience. Of course, if their work doesn't sell, they're the only ones suffering and take a relatively small monetary lost over their hobby. When a magazine shuts down, that's hundreds of people effected and in worst case they lose their livelihood. Running a business comes with greater responsibilities.

As has already been said, it's unlikely the subscription service will ever provide a substantial amount of yuri, but that's precisely why we're expanding into the doujinshi market. Hopefully we can provide you with some yuri content that way instead.

I'm not saying you can't find a magazine that's less vanilla than the ones we have right now, just that most magazines aim for mainstream appeal, which means you won't find that much extreme content in them. With that being the case, I don't think the vanilla ratio would drastically change even if we picked up every magazine out there. The doujinshi scene will always be the main source of alternative content, both here and on the Japanese market.

1 depends on FAKKU, I guess. Personally I like knowing what my transactions are and seeing charges on my bank statement that are difficult to recognize is a hindrance. Your concern is definitely valid though.

2 is just false or you were exaggerating. While the vanilla tag is the most common, less than 40% of manga in the subscription are tagged vanilla. Because vanilla is the most popular type of content, I think it's very important to have a lot of it because that encourages FAKKU's growth. Putting that aside, FAKKU just publishes whatever goes into the magazines. Probably the best way to add more non-vanilla manga to the subscription is to suggest adding a magazine with mostly non-vanilla content. The most recent partnership included Girls forM which is pretty non-vanilla so perhaps FAKKU is ready to branch out at this point. I think your criticism is fair but it's a little exaggerated.

You point about knowing what your transactions are are quite pointless, because adult sites normally state on check out what it will show up as on your billing without giving away the name of the adult site or store name for privacy purposes.

Also note that many of their offerings even without Vanilla tag can still be considered vanilla due to consensual, both sides love each other etc.

Vanilla is still the major part of what they offer while other offerings such as NTR/Cheating/Forced/Monster Girl etc. are a minority. Every time I sub I check other genre's by tag only to be able to read them all in 2~3 days hence making it pointless for me to continue my sub unless I only want a majority of vanilla and only a tiny bit of other stuff once a month.

And according to Fakku's own poll, vanilla is NOT the most popular type of content. It may be in the top 3 (if you don't count "others"), but it is not the top for their consumers that at least visit their forums and care enough to vote which I'm sure anyone passionate enough about their hentai would vote.

It's great they are getting a magazine that isn't for vanilla like Girls for M, however that is still only 1 out of all their magazines and you would need to enjoy femdom which wasn't high on the polls coming in 5th if you don't count "Others".

And it is laughable to whoever gave me -1 rep for stating a feedback in the feedback section to help improve Fakku's appeal to more people. (On my OP, but also I had a +1)
1. The billing name being fakku on our statements isn't exactly discreet when almost every single adult store sells them discreetly with different billing names rather than their actual store or site name. I don't exactly want fakku on my statements each month etc.

2. It's almost all vanilla. Vanilla is nice and all, but other than a bit of niche here and there it is all vanilla. Having read hentai for so long vanilla gets rather stale unless the art and story are simply good or longer than 1 chapter.

So my question is Is fakku going to ever be able to do something about either of these issues soon? Even if just number 1 would at least make me feel better about the subscription.
I would also like to get my 2d marker purchases on fakku

Are all of the games censored or just the ones with the censored tag? Not all of them say specifically if they are uncensored or not so I am just curious.

Look 1 post back and I listed the current censored ones. I think they forgot to tag Wagamama High Spec as censored.
FAKKU store NEEDS to show which games have mosaic and are censored. Otherwise people will blindly trust FAKKU due to other stuff being uncensored and buy it without knowing.

Disappointed with this announcement when i found out even Fakku didn't push for uncensoring the mosaics for all the games they will be selling on their platform. I know they are simply selling other publishers games, but I thought Fakku would only try to publish uncensored stuff rather than censored games too and try to leverage their platform's size and try to make more games uncensored finally getting rid of Sekai's terrible localization policies of "we will take whatever they give us".

Current censored (mosaic) games (In reality all from Sekai Project/Denpasoft):
NEKOPARA (0,1,2,3)
Wagamama High Spec
A Clockwork Ley-Line: The Borderline of Dusk

If Fakku does eventually go for uncensored VN's only please do consider grabbing some new companies on board like Elf for White album etc. which have awesome stories. And maybe CM3D2? The best VR (or not VR) hentai game ever for your own personal waifu. Not to mention they got tons of DLC's that can also be sold for CM3D2.

Also would be awesome if they relicensed some games Mangagamer licensed from minori uncensored, or Grisaia from Frontwing.
Doujin of actually popular characters... Personally I want to see Tohsaka Rin, Nanoha from Cyclone or really anything Cyclone makes uncensored.
Tapestry with dual layer to undress them, example would be
https://twitter.com/mika_mikami/status/795559238181367808
Please get this amazing artist mika_mikami on your doujin list!
I accidentally double ordered out of a rush. So I will be cancelling 1 order which I mailed to fakku's store support. So no worries guys, there will be more!
So we all got trolled? ):
"Some people just want to watch the world burn"
We are literally dying here pressing F5... help!
Please consider having some additional copies of the saitom box + 6 doujins available on your online website? >: some of us just cannot go to the conventions but would love to purchase those goodies too!

Or is there a chance for a digital version of those uncensored doujins?

What is the shipping cost like if you order from Rightstuf or J-List, is it also expensive?

Rightstuf is gives free shipping to Canada when you order more than 250 dollars worth of stuff which I do constantly.
I actually read through most of the post as well and from what I read the thing that seems like the best ideas so far for the new system is implementing a different tier based subscription.

Two ways I thought might make Tier based work is:

1) Limiting how many works they can read per month (please give us a bigger preview than the tiny thumbnail
eg. 3 dollars for 8 works a month, 6 dollars for 15 works a month, full price for unlimited

2) Subscribing to genre
eg. subscribing to all vanilla based hentai = 6 dollars for the first genre, 3 dollars on top every extra genre you add. If a chapter has a bunch of genres and it has the genre you subscribed to you are allowed to read it. The total price only goes to full price to unlock everything. Otherwise you pay 6 dollars for 1 genre you love and 3 dollars on top of that for any extra genres.

Doujins

Please find a way to get doujins back on the site legally. Doujins are what got most people into hentai in the first place. Original content is nice, but there really is no time to build character/personality/story in 40 pages. Even the books you released so far barely have any real story or character build up. Doujins fullfil a completely different genre/niche that cannot be achieved by original works unless they have more build up then just a 40p fap material. I know sites we can go for doujins which is completely reasonable, but I would LOVE to support doujins legally by paying those authors to bring them to the west uncensored. I have hundreds of favorite doujins on another site and sure I can read them there for free, but like I said, I'd love to pay them somehow other than flying to Japan during their expo to try and get 1 book where I cannot read.

Other thoughts
We really need a filter system for chapters based on genre. For example I hate futanari but love everything else. And I know my preferences already and don't want to "learn" to enjoy other content that I already know I don't enjoy. Please work on a filter system as soon as you can.

Please get rid of those ads even on people not subscribed. It really makes the site feel unprofessional, and I assume you want it to look more professional? I mean sure you might get a few bucks from a few unsubbed people checking the forums, but now you are changing to a subscription based service, please consider it.

Please find a way to make Fakku not show up on peoples credit card statements.

How will you Kickstart this when kickstarter does not allow adult content? Will the kickstarter not mention adult content?

Does that only apply for real porn or something? There's been several adult-oriented Kickstarters in the past. Grisaia visual novel series, the recent Muv-Luv visual novel kickstarter, even Yaoi manga has been on kickstarter in the past.

They only worked because they included no mention of adult patch or adult contents. If you look at the kickstarter you won't find mentions of the adult version other than some obscure mention of a patch for people who know what the patch is.

In general Toshio's books are not pornographic for the sake of pornography (this is the important difference), rather they are adult stories with sex scenes. You may be familiar with a few of his works as most of them have also been turned into anime over the years, Urotsukidōji actually has a few anime adaptations.

Ah cool! That's what I feel has been lacking recently. A good story based Hentai :) Could really use more of those!

Any chance for an official fakku app? or at least one with log in for subscriptions and no ads?
