Censorship In Hentai

I know, I know, this is a general hentai forum topic that has been seen a lot of times. Just hear me out, here. This isn't necessarily a raging rant about it; it's more like my way of laughing about it, with others. This is simply because, censorship in cartoon pornography is PURE IRONY and irony is the humor that as fueled my hilarity for years.
First off, we must ask ourselves, why IS everything right out of Japan censored to the point of ridiculousness? You of course have your general mosaic censors, your black bar censors, your tiny black line censors, and (this is my favorite), your LOW OPACITY (AKA EFFING SEE THROUGH!) censors. Now, if you're going to censor something, that's fine, but making them low opacity? Why not just remove the damn thing entirely? A darker hue vagina WILL NOT make the difference.
However, I'm sure that, in seriousness, a lot of you are probably quite angry with the fact that you can't find good hentai uncut, whether it be mangas or movies like Taimanin Asagi. I'm sure that something in the future will be done to rectify this though. Happy hunting, guys.

I agree, if anything it just ruins the detail of the artwork but then again Japan has some really weird laws/people when it comes to porn.
I love the example image by the way, what's it from? Sadly I'll never be able to appreciate the artists true work for anatomical detail. =(

Censorship in hentai, really is pointless since a vagina won't be different from a next one, but that's their laws in Japan, we gotta live with it or be a senator or something in Japan

Censorship's really weird because it's not all the same. Sometimes, the censorship does practically nothing, like in the picture posted. Oh, it's a little blurry - so what? You can still see things fine.
Other times, there'll just be a large black bar instead of a dick. CAN'T SEE SHIT!
But sometimes, the artist(s) will censor him/herself and give everyone some laughs. What am I talking about? Invisible dicks. Seen it in a lot of hentai vids and sometimes in manga. The woman will be holding onto NOTHING. Just a hand there. It ruins the mood and isn't that good to jerk off to, but it can make for a hilarious scene.

Probably comes from a sense of embarrassment, while yes it is pornography there is still a slight sense of guilt or shame/embarrassment. :oops:

Censorship used to be far worse and more strictly controlled but as fanworks became more popular some doujinshi authors began to reduce the degree of censoring and some were even so bold as to don't censor at all.
The real ero manga companies who abode by the law weren't able to compete with those small private competitors and so they, too, started to reduce the censoring.
It turned into a kind of "arms race" and whoever manages to have the least censoring, without getting a bitchslap from the authorities, wins.

Cencors are annoying but most of the time you'll have to go with it. If not, just decencor them yourself ;)

But sometimes, censorship CAN ruin things... best example would be Beat Angel Escalayer (thank god there's an Uncensored version) - the private parts (and a lot of area surrounding them, wtf) are blurried to the point of making the whole scene obsolete... and the blur is very heavy if I remember right...

I hate that, especially low opacity. Why censor it in the first place? Makes me angry, but eh, what are you going to do? What I also find ridiculous are the tiny little black circles that are half-heartedly slapped on genitalia. I mean, the genitalia are still partially shown, so I don't really see a point.
And I would like my hentai uncensored, and if it had to be censored, it should be done properly. Thank you >_> (sometimes, I don't mind, but more often than not I get a bit frustrated)
