Look, I understand that certain amounts of forum drama are fun for all ages but this shit has gotten pretty out of hand.

@People constantly bitching about Waar and TMS (which mainly just means CR people but there are enough of you who aren't affiliated with CR that I can't just blame them): Learn to read. Not everything they say is offensive just because they said it. Most of the shit you bitch about them saying, if it came from anyone else you wouldn't say a damn thing. It doesn't make you cool or powerful to gang up on people who call you on saying dumb shit every once in a while. It just makes you look like sheep who can't form their own opinions.

@Waar: Stop talking about how awesome you are. At this point everyone who likes you already does. Everyone who doesn't, wont. If you keep this annoying narcissism up even those of us who find you funny will just ignore everything you say.

@TMS: What happened to "being better" or whatever it was you said? Didn't last very long. Stop being a fucking troll and start actually adding something of value to the community.

@Dumb catchphrase or other gimmick people: You're annoying. The point of a forum or chatroom is to communicate, you're just making it harder. Forcing a fake sense of your personality on other people via typing certain things or a certain way in fact makes you just "That guy, who does that thing." In the end that's all anyone will remember you for if you keep that shit up. Not your opinions, not if you were intelligent or funny, just your stupid gimmick. There is only one person on the history of this whole forum that has done something like this in a cool way and that's because she also had interesting content in her posts. If you know who I'm referring to cool, if you don't I'm not going to bother to tell you.

@Trolls: Do that shit somewhere else. The intent of this forum is not for you to post pics or videos of boring, meaningless crap over and over and over. (Also, I already know you'll try to troll this thread, nobody will be impressed, it's pretty much the only thing you know how to do. Nobody is impressed by a guy who only knows how to tie his shoes doing so.) Seriously, how does it feel to know that Von is more mentally mature than you? (Er....not meaning to insult von here, just making an example of what I used to think of as one of the worst posters here turning into someone who can actually make decent posts.)

@Tegumi: The fact that you have the audacity to tell everyone else they're being dumb while pic spamming and joining in with the other trolls is amazing. I don't see why you think anyone should ever listen to your opinion.

@Admins: For fucks sake stop banning people for minor shit (well besides Pen, that was just hilarious). Don't ban people for insulting some member you (or other people) like or for doing one minor psuedo-spoiler. Ban the people who are constantly spamming shit, being racist/sexist/general bigots, or breaking the rules. Seriously, how can you expect this place to not become shit if you refuse to punish people for breaking rules you know they know not to be breaking?

@Hibia & Other people who don't post or rarely post because of the current quality of the forums: If you think things are so bad why aren't you trying to help? You can sit there and do nothing if you want, but stop whining about it. (Though of note Hibia hasn't really whined recently and has mostly just vanished.)

@New People: Holy crap, read the rules, stickied posts, or at least the goddamn names of various sections.

@Boy who cried Elitist: Don't even start. You can't look better than other people by telling people they think they're better than others.

Overall I'm pretty disappointed in anyone in those above categories and many of you who don't fit in any of them. The degree ranges from anywhere to very slightly (like the Admins, they're busy and they can't expected to be perfect at all times) to...well a lot. I'm probably minorly disappointed in several people I don't even realize I have a problem with at all.

There are of course some people like HE, Mattarat, Gambler, many of the mods, etc. and some of the brighter new(ish) people who I think are doing a fine job.

Anyway, I realize that I myself am in no way perfect as well and you're free to bitch at me about...well whatever (um...assuming it has something to do with me). I just wanted to get this stuff off my chest because I felt there might be a slight possibility any of you will actually try to do your best at making this community a fun place to be.

One thing tho, I didn't find it nice that you're telling the admins what to do such as "ban people", let them do their job in their own way since they should know better. But overall it was a good post that deserves a rep.

That paragraph is an amazing paragraph. While I feel the moderators are okay, some users should be banned for their racism and sexism. Why mention that people can't do certain things (in the rules) and then let them get away with it.

Ramsus, this was a really great post in my opinion. And I believe posts such as this one are actually worth giving reputation points to. Certainly, before this time tomorrow, I'll +rep you. Despite those who may be offended with what you wrote, I really did enjoy reading this and I think it was pretty much a 95%+ accurate post. And your opinions were strong.

Ramsus as much as I love you and respect what you have to say you really do come off as holier than thou in the thread bro. For someone who hasn't shown up for months you sure do have a lot to say. The part you said about me wasn't even much of an insult (I'm pretty sure the forums as a whole would agree that I've mended most of my trollish/negative ways) and I see some truth behind it but you really do call out some people for the wrong reasons. I do agree with some of your comments but it really feels like you're just pms'ing when the forums have actually been much nicer recently. I would not say we're back into another golden age of Fakku but we are far better than we were 3 months ago, the last time one of us tried to appeal to the community(who was that again?). I just get the feeling you're late to the party once again and had to make your own thread just so people would remember who you were again(don't tell me this is untrue, we both know it is).

Well you're certainly proving your point about being better by not getting pissed about what I said. For that you have my thanks for trying to understand me as opposed to just being mad for insulting you (though you'd be right to be mad if you were I suppose). I lol'ed at the pms part since I myself made a joke about that in...CR I think not more than 10 minutes ago. Also while yeah people have said more meaningful stuff about being better as a community recently I still felt there were thinks I wanted to say, also certain particular threads recently set me off. Though um....stop trying to say nobody knows who I am and that I'm attention whoring. I barely make 1 thread per month if even that, so if I want to rant when I do I feel it's fair.

but that's not it... as Tsuikana in IRC just said, when you rant about specific members it does nothing but segregate our community further, If you wanted to post about quality or content making blanket statement to the general public is much more effective, people won't become defensive. It just looks like your own brand of a drama thread, this particular brand reminds me of my "what i think of others" thread... which was me just ripping into people (not something I'm proud of). If you really want to help, then do your part, these long winded threads which spiral into pissing matches or poopball fights do nothing but hurt your cause.

Ramsus, I can see that this is a serious post, and I will give you a serious response. I can pretty much agree with almost everything you posted, and I will rep you for it. This place is definitely much more hostile than before, and you can tell simply by the first few comments. It's quite a shame I was still a lurker back when Fakku was still a nice place to be (that's not saying that it's not nice to be here right now, just not as nice).

However, as much as I appreciate your post, have you considered how this post will actually benefit this community, or your personal image? As you said, I highly doubt your post will trigger any sort of "actually trying to do your best at making this community a fun place to be." I'm not mentioning names. You know who you're talking to, and you as well as I do know they won't change. In return, you're only segregating yourself from this community, and starting arguments.

That's not to say you have not earned my respect for posting this. What you're saying is almost completely accurate, it's just that by posting this you're not doing yourself any good.

Then again, that might be why you have my respect. Some people really aren't contributing for the good of this place at all, and do ought to be banned.
