Halo 4

Finish the fight already!
Halo 4, along with Halo: CE HD remake has been announced in E3
Teaser trailer:
Well, while I might be glad that Master Chief is back, I just don't know about this. The Halo 4 logo at the end of the trailer just screams 'cheap.' There seems to be new conflicting arising from that neo-Death Star looking thing at the end, probably another forerunner artifact that will spew out some post-Flood disaster.
According to gamespot, it's due out in Q4 of 2012.
Edit: Bungie dropped the series, picked up by the new studio, 343 Industries.
Edit 2: At the end, Chief sticks something on that good ol' pistolgrenade launcher of his. Weapon customization?

dude not meaning to sound mean but your edit 2 is wrong if you pay attention that is not a pistol its like a grenade launcher that looks like an old rifle gernade that is shot of the end, if you watch when he attaches another one to the end you can tell its not a pistol

Didn't notice that; was too busy listening to facebook rants full of boners.

While I don't think a new Halo game is a bad thing, I'd prefer it if they held it off for a while longer. 2012 is gonna be full of games I want but would probably be unable to afford. Hell, Aliens: Colonial Marines comes out the same year and Halo already borrows too much from that franchise as it is. Putting them on the market at the same time seems rather questionable.

Remember when they said 3 was the last game? That doesn't mean I'm dissapointed. Time to kick alien ass again!

I do wanna know what happens to Master Chief story wise... but another game?
who is he fighting? is it gonna be the flood? isn't he gonna be by himself?

A number 4... And I heard it isn't by Bungie either.
EDIT: Just read OP's 1st edit. Any particular reason why Bungie dropped it?

To clarify a few things... Bungie said that Reach was going to be the last Halo game that THEY will develop, not that it will be the last Halo game ever. Since the new game is being developed by 343 Industries, it'll most likely stay true to the original source as that company was practically built around Halo, hence their name. Currently, Bungie is supposedly working on a new and original game. I would've personally prefered a new Oni game, but something new is always welcome.

Lol for people thinking Reach would be the last Halo game.
Microsoft won't let such a big cash cow die so easily. Don't get me wrong, the trailer looks sick, and the game could very well turn out to be amazing. But there is NO way Halo will die that easily. It was and is a system seller. I just hope that it won't turn out to be another CoD, where a game is basically released every year with just a smidgeon of change slapped on in a half-ass attempt to be new.

Hopefully this one will have a PC version again so I can play it. Halo 3, ODST, and Reach are all out of my reach since I don't have a 360.

Looking forward to it, I suppose. Playing Halo 3 on Legendary was one of my favorite co-op experiences with a friend. I certainly wouldn't mind going back to the story instead of taking the side story route with ODST or backpedaling with Reach.

Im glad that Bungie put down Halo, It started going downhill when they released Halo Wars, but im looking forward to this, being a Halo online player from the start I hope that the Multiplayer drags me away from Call of Duty. Its good to see the chief coming back too.

343 Industries has some pretty big shoes to fill. By #2 I was getting bored with the flood. It was a cool surprise in #1. Now its just blah. Anyway, I can't wait to see the weaponry and vehicles in this game.

I was getting a little iffy on the franchise past Halo 2. Only games I liked after Combat Evolved were ODST and Reach.
