[Anime] Highschool DxD (2nd Season Announced)

Did not see this on on the Masterlist yet. Another new series due for Winter 2012, Highschool DxD. To be honest, I never heard of this title until someone directed me toward the Light Novels and Manga (which I still haven't attempted to read yet), and now, ready for Anime adaption of its own. Here the premise:




The story follows Issei Hyōdō, a dim-witted, lecherous second-year high school student who is killed by a girl on his first date ever. Issei is reincarnated as a devil, and from that day forward, he serves as an underling of Riasu, a high-level devil who is also the prettiest girl on Issei's campus.


Definitely worth a glance the first time around if nothing else. Exact release date has not been specificed, but expect it sometime in the Winter.

For starters the synopsis/story doesn't mean much to me, since I don't usually judge a series based of the little info provide, and also since I haven't read the novels.

What I am really happy, and at the same time upset about is that I will get to see an anime whose source material was illustrated by Miyama-Zero, but its not Kanojotachi no Ryuuji, oh how I wish that would be adapted for TV ;_;

None the less I am interested in this, and I'll look forward to this.

The main character looks like a spazz. He does not deserve to be sitting in between all that moe.

I just said it was worth taking a look at, I didn't say based on the synopsis. I give everything a fair chance and try to watch the 1st ep at least, so that is what I meant. Like I said before, I haven't read either the manga or light novel, but since this is coming out I will not bother until it ends. Won't have my expectations up or anything, lol.

I bet it will be the exact same as these; expect to see some unnecessary angst in the last couple of episodes when the relationship between the main character and main female character is jeopardised for some obscene reason.

I am here for the ecchi fanservice. :D

Should it be Winter season of 2011 or 2012? If it is the latter, it seems kinda far away.

These series make me want to bang my head against a wall -_-.

I was rather impressed with the first episode. We'll see how it goes after the first couple chapters, yeah.

I'm honestly surprised that they used a "realistic" boobs SFX, rather then the usual boing-boing.. lol

For this anime I'm more interested in the story the ass and tits are bonus.

My thoughts exactly, at first when Rias was undressing to take a shower I heard the SFX and was like, "what!! O.o" Then at the end of the episode when you hear them again I had the same reaction again. While I do welcome a new SFX over the older typical ones, I wonder if other shows will use it as a new oppai SFX.
