Since the series is getting a HD Remastered release I thought I would make a thread seeing as how there's no Gundam Seed thread yet.





Anyone gonna watch it? I know I am even though I've already seen the original. Oh, and episode 1 is out. [size=1]inb4 Gundam Seed hate/shit[/h]

I don't think I'll watch SEED again myself. More worried about where Unicorn's going, and derping around on AGE. I can put SEED in a nutshell though.

Pretty much it. Though I will admit that SEED had some nice MS designs, but for me thats about it.

Anyone who has watched REAL gundam series will agree with me.

I'm not gonna bother with this so called "remastered". SEED was made in the era where anime wasn't in widescreen. Trying to turn it into widescreen is just butchering the show since its cropping the footage. Besides I don't want to hear Kira and Athrun constantly screaming their names back and forth and see Nicol's death replayed 40 times.



And hopefully not because Destiny is a pile of garbage. First 12 eps were good, then it degrades to fan-fiction and bias favoritism. Not to mention the constant clip-shows and apparent overuse of stock footage.

Honestly, like you said don't bother watching. I just watched the remaster, and it looks even uglier than the original. It looks like lazily re-sized and cropped

Exactly. The only Gundam series made for widescreen is 00 and after. All they did with this "remaster" is zoom in, crop the top and bottom. Someone is gonna have to correct me on the screen dimensions for non-HD videos cause I don't remember. This 10th anniversary stuff is just to bring in more money. Nothing more.

Watched and compared episode 1 of 'remaster' with the old version I have here.
On postive side I noticed they kinda tweaked the opening like Miguel got his custom GINN, some tweak on colors, and redrawn some scenes.

Unfortunately it doesn't convince me to rewatch the entire series.

May not be watching this considering the pv looks about the same as the original.

i dont know why but this anime pisses me off, i never watched it since twas released years ago. but i'll try to watch it now. i might like it

I'll go ahead and watch. Since Age hasn't been that great to this point might as well go back to a series that overall I enjoyed.

I suggest watching older gundam series instead of watching Seed. they are by far better =/

though i bettter follow my own advice and actually watch Turn A and Victory already.

not gonna bother watching Seed as well, i had a fine time with it not gonna watch it again just becoz its bigger and for the love of god,Sunrise if youre thinking of Remastering Destiny i fucking suggest you remake and improve the whole story first (--,)

Would like to say differently, but my Gundam history really does only drift back to Gundam Wing in terms of how far back. Really should check out some of the older ones eventually. One of those things that are bound to happen...some day. Being an expert in procrastination can be a problem sometimes.

I agree with Destiny though.

Original Mobile Suit Gundam is a good watch. If you're gonna watch that, watch the movie trilogy.

i havent touched my Unicorn(This sounds weird), Victory and Turn A yet i know how you feel about procrastination man.

whats the point of this release? i mean didnt Sunrise already released a Remastered edition for seed a few years back? whats the point of doing this? i mean it would have been more interesting if they did what gainax did with Evangelion and made Remake movies with better plots and quality.

Honestly, it's not that good or godly how most gundamfags claims it to be. Sure it's a good watch and all, but it pretty boring at times. G Gundam is better imo and it's <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3.

I just compared the original release and the "remastered" and I have to agree with you guys. Then I continued watching it after the comparison. Now I'm on episode 16.

Also, I hate Flay. That is all.

I don't think I would, since I already watched Seed and the art style.. it's sorta retro now.

Plus, I hate Seed among all the Gundam titles.

No shit I finished it. I didn't think of it much after I finished since it was Gundam. Only after thinking about it did I realize it was garbage. Seeing as how you're mocking me, just because it's anime, that's no excuse to produce garbage. Especially for a franchise that's been going on for 25 years at the time. And for you to even make such a comment, I don't think you realize the disaster Destiny presented. Constant clip-shows even within the fucking last 10 episodes of the series, blatant laziness with reused stock footage, and of course the writing which became completely obvious that Morasawa wrote so to speak, fan-fiction.
