Does Inuyasha suck?

Out of all the long-running anime I've seen that suck, Inuyasha probably sucks the least, Pokemon notwithstanding.

The Anime is good in the beginning, but became sucks in the middle of the stories... and The Manga Sucks all over the way...That's just my opinion anyway, no offense to Inuyasha's fans...

The only good thing that ever came out of Inuyasha was Yura. Other than that it sucked. I mean the style was good in Ranma but that doesn't mean its good for a series like this.

Hmm if you ask me Inuyasha doesn't really suck. I've watched it a few times before but probably not enough to know much about it. But based on the episodes I saw when I did watch it, it was actually a decent anime. It seemed a bit repetitive sometimes but I liked it and well I wouldn't mind watching parts of it every now and then. Hmm but based on the poll (Which sucks) Inuyasha isn't liked by many.
I think it's fine though.. guess that means I should "go suck Inuyasha's cock." huh?

Best Master-San
I love Rumiko-sensei works, but I think she should stick with love/comedy.
Inuyasha is just to long to enjoy, but Ranma and Lum are a long but worthwhile anime.

Well that's good. I would hate to use my mouth for that anyway. +1 rep from the Hentai Elder

Meh. I'd rather watch Inuyasha than Pokemon, honestly. My ex-gf dug it, so I kinda had to watch it. Sango and Muroku are better characters than Inuyasha and Kagome, though. I really wish Adult Swim would kill the reruns already and put something better in it's timeslot...

I don't really understand the Inuyasha bashing. It gets repetitive, but a lot of long running anime/manga does. Its not the best, but its not the worst either.

If you took all of the "filler" episodes out of Inuyasha (and by filler, I mean episodes that didn't involve Naraku or the characters learning something used in later episodes), you'd probably lose half of the series.
If you then revised what was left and got rid of shitty enemies and plots that just lead to Naraku getting stronger, you'd lose half of that.
If you then made the remaining episodes good, you'd have a miracle.

Since this thread is posted in the specific anime series section, I would assume you are simply referring the anime and not the manga. Personally, I don't think it was that bad, though watching most of the episodes on DVD may have influenced my current stand.
However, I have to admit the main storyline of fighting Naraku and his minions gets repetitive after a while. I would have liked to see a proper ending to the series too.
The cuteness of Rin, and maybe both Kagura and Tsubaki (in her young form), made up for it... to a certain extent. :D

I'm still perplexed by people's aversion to filler episodes. Just like I've said in the various threads discussing Bleach and every other conversation where the subject came up, fillers are essential. They are created to give the manga-ka time to create more material for the anime to go on. Inuyasha episodes, that follow the manga, are about 2 - 3 chapters compressed into one. There were some parts where the producers took creative liberties and created their own enemies, but whatever. The anime came out fine. If it followed the manga exactly, there wouldn't be much of a reason to watch it. I personally don't like anime that follow the manga exactly.
