Pokémon Black and White Version 2

So either the other threads got buried so deep I couldn't find them or they were deleted. Anyhow, this thread is intended to be for any news coming in about the new Pokemon games that will be released later this year.

According to bulbapedia, the confirmed Japanese release date is June 23, 2012.

The other regions only have vague seasonal dates at this point in time with the U.S. and Europe slated for Autumn of 2012 and Australia has a spring 2013 release date.


In addition, for those of us with the 3DS like myself, Nintendo will be releasing a new app and updating Pokedex 3D, at least it has been confirmed for Japan. The new app is apparently an AR searcher app that allows you search for and then capture pokemon in your environment, which you can then import into Black 2 or White 2. Also, according to Kotaku, the app and update will be paid apps with the AR searcher being 300 yen and the Pokedex update being 1500 yen and the unpaid version will be pulled from the e-Shop

Sorry for not updating in a while. Been busy. So I found out the U.S. release date is October 7, 2012 and the Pokemon Dream Radar will be released the same day.

Y U NO SEARCH?!

I realize that there is a topic for Pokemon Black & White but this topic is intended solely for Pokemon Black & White 2 news, a sequel to Pokemon Black & White

I saw that but i think they discuss the sequel as well.

So what do you think of the news about the game so far? Based on an image of Unova that was released it seems as thought there was a sudden onset of an ice age.



It would certainly fit with Kyurem, a dragon-ice type in Black & White, being the mascot for both versions.

All I can say is that I don't like the new Black design. White's new design is cute and it seems a lot of people in Japan love it as well. Homika is also an awesome gym leader, I love her rockstar poison design based off Drapion(also cute Torchic/Combusken hair).

Personally, I'm looking to being able to rematch old champions with current gen pokemon/mechanics.

Yeah same here, I like that feature.

Bell's new look is alright but expected something radical this White's.

Why is it a numbered sequel? is it like a revamp or is it for 3ds.

I stopped liking pokemon after silver and gold I kind of hated releases of new pokemon and because I would have to play most of the game with pokemon I didn't like.

It's a sequel to the original Black and white. Same region and same characters but revamped so assuming possible time skip but seemingly new rival and boss.

It be nice if they made a pokemon complete edition where you start of in R/B/G/Y only got 151 pokemon get to the end then your in S/G and so on but I think it would need to probably be a pc port which would make trading easier.

PC port??? Well i suggest u quickly forget about that option lol as Nintendo franchise will stay with their consoles probably till their death.

It's just I doubt they can fit it into one game cartridge. And trading with others with WiFi isn't some thing every one can do.

And older games don't work any more cause the saving functions broke. I was thinking the same with Zelda. I really want to get some of the older games but doubt they will work.

Another thing I think when they re-release a game it isn't necessary to revamp the game I think it would be neat if they sold a few old games exactly as they where when they where out just in a new up to date cartridge that can be played on the current devise they may even be able to sell multiple games on one cartridge.

It will fit of course, Pokemon Gold and Silver remake already proven that and it is on DS. WHile about the online trading method, Now using Wifi is very confinient compared to my era lol. I need to find cable to trade with friends, need to buy the wireless trading equipment for Gameboy SP and in the end now we already had Wi-Fi which i believe very convinient as u only need to go to Starbuck or ur own home to connect with the others and trade.

The problem is by revamping, they can sell the game on more price isn't it? It is just business here and also by remaking them, they can make so the game now able to connect with other new Pokemon game and trade each other.

Same characters? Are you talking about the characters you choice? If you are I don't think they are the same from the original, they look to young. Since it's a sequel and not a prequel it couldn't be them when they're younger. Could be they're kids perhaps? Somepeople are confused if it's a updated version like platinum, from what I can tell it seems to be a completely different game. Set in the same region as the previous. Here is some info showing the playable main characters, gym leaders, rival, Pokemon professor, and cool preorder bonus poster which I think look pretty badass. For some reason I have a feeling the poison rocker girl is a trap. Don't know why.

OT: The alternate forms for the Genie trio look horrible. I don't think they were necessary at all.

It's def. a girl, not like the Bugsy character in Johto I'm sure. Well what we know is that Bell and Cheren are still in the games and seem quite more mature but not enough to really deem adults. Also White 2 has been popularly futaed recently it seems, don't even know how that jumped. The main protagonist can or can't be the original but who knows, maybe they are the son/daughters of BW1, but realize that White 2 has a bigger bust size than White 1. It has been joked about how she has bigger tits than white 1, and along with her hair buns being actual bread or donuts or something to eat.

Im not so sure, I'm gonna wait until poison is referred to as she. There are to many believable traps haku, jun watarese, aikawa (prunus girl). Lol white 2 has been futaed? wow really? I'm gonna look that up. Biancia is my least favorite character out of the whole Pokemon. Maybe due to the ridculious design or the personality, I don't know I just didn't like her. And cheren was to easy and pathetic, but this new rival seems to be promising. I'm still wondering what made kyurem go berserk and make the ice on the map. Or it could be Bkyurem or Wkyurem or both who did it. Oh and the new Pokemon professor looks like a pscycopath with that funky hair.

Ah, i c wut u did thar. In all honesty though I'm still sure it's a girl, there's already enough detail about her like how her gym's a music club and everyone's calling Homika by "her" and "she" in the magazine is enough. There's already detail about her in the anime apparently and we actually get a reference mention of her father.

Well let's be honest, Cheren wasn't really a rival but a free exp. trainer like everybody else. N was the real rival of that game no matter how much of a fag he was.

What did i do? It was in korokoro ok, guess I was wrong. I'll agree cheren was pretty much just easy exp with a story behind it. But I will have to disagree with you, N was one of the best rivals of anygame. And one of the only rival/enemy to reappear in two games In a row. I do believe he will be in B&W 2 as an enemy or possibly an ally. Not sure if this is anything new but Here/ is somemore stuff from korokoro.
