Amagami SS

As for the episode itself, I thought that it was a very funny one. i loved it when Junichi, Kaoru, and Umehara were on the hunt for the cute librarian, and Ai ended up doing the work for them. I was glad to learn that Junichi was good at at least one subject at school, (and math, nonetheless), and I was glad that it turned out to just be a regular tutoring session, as opposed to his training with Sae.

Speaking of Sae, though, her boobs definitely stood out this episode, but I was surprised when it actually got Junichi into trouble with Ai. Miya was totally a fuel to the fire, though, with her expressions of love towards Sae breasts. I, however, was glad that Junichi was able to make it up to Ai by expressing his love for her toned body in front of the whole swim team. He definitely has some guts to do that, and Ai appreciated it. I really like her personality in that aspect, because other girls would have either slapped him, started crying, or both.

Also, I'm really liking Rihoko and the Tea club, and the more I see of them, the more I want to see her arc. Luckily it is next.

The rest of the episode was quite nice as well, with Ai and Junichi discussing her brother troubles, and having fun with a power ranger-esque toy. It was really funny to see her do all of the poses, and her high jump kick was mighty impressive. At least she understood what to do for her brother, and hopefully there relationship will get back on track.

As for the next episode preview, I'm wondering why it is titled: Transformation. I giggle at the thought of Ai dressing up as a power ranger as I write this. :) It probably has something to do with Ai's feelings, though, for Junichi, by her thoughts at the end of this last episode, though. And her thoughts, especially with her feelings, reminded me of when I fell in love.

Junichi was hilarious in this episode. If he is not checking out the hot teacher and getting excited from getting ass spanked by her, he's talking about Sae's chest or blabbering about tits and swimsuits in front of the entire girls swim team. Role model material right there.

- If that's a cameo of Touko Amano (Bungaku Shoujo), that's kind of cool they did that.
- Junichi was more of a funny character in this episode, but funnily it worked out well for the entirety.
- For one aspect of this episode, it taught me a partial reason as to why swimsuits are a prevalent character fetish in Japan (it's something Junichi said).
- Ai's face when she said "yes" near the end was the cutest I've seen her so far. Hopefully for the next one I'd see more of the same.

Well for starters what was that thing that gave Junichi the tickets for the amusement park? What kind of costume was that? Of course that voice was hilarious, was that the same voice as before, Michael Rivas?

The amusement park scenes, started out normally, Ai looked cute like always. The haunted house scene....started normally, but I got confused and suffered lag issues, apparently Junichi was seeing things while he was in there? I am not too sure, I remember seeing a miso soup? Then he was kissing Ai's finger.

My second fav scene (so far) in her arc would prob be what happens next, when he goes to the pool to see where Ai is. Ai crying, not something I like to see T_T

Until Ai mentioned it, I completely forgot this series takes place a little before X-mas ^^;

Can't wait for next weeks exciting conclusion ^_^

Yeah, the amusement park scene started out cute at first, and then as soon as the Haunted House scene started, I kind of had a "WTF?!" look on my face. I really want to know what made the two of them hallucinate, (or, more than likely, Junichi). Although I most certainty did not mind seeing a male Kaoru or Ai being a bowl of ramen and almost being eaten by Junichi. That was pretty sexy. :)

Although, supposedly in the manga there was a different scene, (something involving a shed, I believe. Can anyone tell me if the amusement park was part of the VN, or was the shed scene supposed to be there instead? And, if the amusement park was art of it, then why did Junichi hallucinate? Was it because he was so paranoid about looking bad in front of Ai that he started seeing things?

As for the rest of the episode, I was glad to see how well Ai's and Junichi's relationship was going. The swing scene was very cute, and I was so glad that Ai was bold enough to kiss Junichi. I do enjoy girls who take the initiative, after all. I giggled though when Junichi was all blushing the next day, and Ai wasn't fazed at all.

My favorite scene of this episode was definitely the pool scene. I felt so bad for Ai after not being able to improve her scores, and it was such a manly thing for Junichi to jump in the water and make sure that she's okay. I also liked it when Junichi told her that he was happy to see another side of her. It's a good sign when a guy still wants to be around you, whether you're sad, angry, or happy. Junichi really does care for Ai, even though he may not totally realize it yet.

Anyways, I am, too, looking forward to how this arc is going to wrap up, especially with that last clip of the two of them at a hot spring. :)

things started out well enough even though it had a purple-with-hearts wearing "clown" foreigner. But then came the haunted house and Junichi's random delusions. Male Kaoru? Child Ayatsuji with a dog licking her face (foreshadowing her arc, lol)? Miso Ramen? It really didn't feel like something that Amagami would do, so I'm not surprised that it was an anime original. So the entire first half seemed like a waste, like it had no character/relationship development. With 4-episode arcs, you really can't afford to waste so much time.

Then came the tears. It wasn't as bad as in the Haruka arc as this at least had some foreshadowing. I mean, Ai is only a first-year, and was replaced by a second-year, so it's not like she lost to someone younger than her. Seeing Ai running around on the verge of tears was akin to watching a child throw a tantrum.

Yeah, the amusement park could have definitely been removed. Though it was kind of cute to see her reaction when he was sucking on her finger. But that could have been done anytime.

I would like to have seen her puckering her lips in the anime though like it seems she did in the game for the pool scene.

We weren't told about how good Ai was at swimming (I think). Kind of like how we weren't told about how Kaoru felt about her parents until the drama came up. And once again, without that prior knowledge, it's hard to be sympathetic.

I know that, but it still reeks of forced drama to me. It certainly doesn't help that we were lead to believe that the "conflict" of this arc was going to center around Ai's little brother.

with the exception of the first arc, each one since then just ends on a happy note but doesn't show something similar to the first arc did, an epilogue like ending that takes place years later. Does the game only have an ending like that for Haruka's route? I know (thanks to Kaimax's posts) that there is a few years later scene for Sae, but what about the others?? Will the remaining two arc perhaps have a "few years later" ending?? I just liked how the first arc had that kind of ending and I kept wishing each arc would end in a similar way.

I agree. I did think that it was cute that Junichi and Ai worked together so well, and thoroughly impressed the Tea Club. I also laughed when Takashi-sensei got plastered.

But yeah, it was definitely all about the second half for me as well. I loved how Ai was so coy, and wouldn't tell Junichi where exactly they were going.

And the ending, with the two of them sitting out on the beach, and Ai rubbing Junichi's hair was so perfect. Reminds me of when I do the same thing to my bf, so I smiled a lot during this scene.

I, too, was wondering if the future was an exclusive part of Haruka's arc or not, so if anyone knows, that would be great.
