You're thinking that Nino is thinking if †˜butter’flies would be tasty, aren’t you?

Sorry, I was practicing my Venglish.

EDIT: Were you actually 'trying' to be funny with me?

Getting back to business, episode 3 had me rationally accepting SHAFT's maneuver in animating only, I think, the more significant chapters which focus on Riku and Nino's relationship. Still, I knew the chapters I mentioned the last time would be cut-off, but not Nino's sleep(walk)ing-ways (thus explaining why she's found sleeping on the sofa in Riku's room at the start of the episode) too!? I really wanted to see Nino throw Riku like a basketball into the hoop *Nino Three-Points!* ...ahem... I mean into an ordinary basket that badly.

Anyway, other than the expected, there were also a couple of surprises particularly the B.P.(Before Preview) part where SHAFT animated what they did not in the previous episode, even adding Maria, who hasn't been introduced yet, into the bonus scene.

Correctly guess the Chief's true identity now and win a prize!

PS: Tomokazu Sugita is just f*ck'N'awesome. Hoshi going head-to-head with Riku (Hiroshi Kamiya) is without a doubt the highlight of the most comedic episode of the series yet. It honestly felt like a Honey and Clover reunion between Takemoto and Mayama; if only Chief (Keiji Fujiwara) was there too in the room instead of Sister... Kyaa, Shu-chan!!

PS.s: Considering you slowpokes haven't seen the latest episode yet (waiting for subs), I was trying to be considerate as to not spoil anything for anyone but I just can't help myself... So head's up, spoiler cap falling!

The first episode did not win me over at all, I was thinking I wouldn't enjoy this series but decided to watch the few next episodes to give it a chance.

The latest episodes of course won me over, loving this anime so much. And Nino can be amazingly cute at times (Bath Barrel and the Dress = Heaven).

I'm just wondering if their relationship actually develops any further, I understand this is a comedy though, so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't.

Either way lets hope SHAFT manages to keep the good work up on this.

I think it's gonna be your typical Shaft produced series...

I was surprised by how good this is. I watched it thinking that it was pure comedy but there was actually something deeper than just a bunch of weirdos living under a bridge. First of all, Nino and Ric's relationship is really interesting. They maybe lovers by name but the truth is they are still just getting to know each other. It will be really interesting to see how it develops romantically, if ever there will be any actual development. Secondly, it makes me wonder what circumstances made the other residents take refuge under the bridge...Watching 3 straight episodes were just to short.

Spoiler:
Fish cakes for everyone courtesy of Zetsubou Sensei. I hope Nino likes them with a song.

Hows this?
-ts-warthogs Review of Nino's Dress.

The dress that Nino was presented with as a gift from Riku was absolutely stunning. The long let down hair blowing in the wind alongside the long ends of the dress gave a feeling of innocence yet sophistication for Nino even though she lives under a bridge. It is as though my heart was aching in unreachable lust.
I cannot wait until the next episode of this specific anime series. I think a date at the river mouth will offer Riku a look into who Nino really is as a person. Perhaps Nino leave us with hints as to why she was able to put on such a complicated dress, and perhaps explain her reasoning or how she ended up living under the bridge.

Found this anime when scouring through the webz looking for a new anime to watch and I have to say, I was captured when I saw the very intriguing and original plot - it seemed to be right up my alley, so I decided to download the episodes available at this current moment.

Watched 2 episodes and I have to say that Arakawa Under the Bridge is fucking hilarious. I do not have a clue as to how you find all these amazing animes Hermit, but I thank you. The anime is even more strange and eccentric than that I first assumed, but that all plays into it's stunning humour. I cannot help but feel the need to compare the humour to Gintama's and Zan Setsubo Sensei (though I have only seen two episodes) - they're all equally as random and god damn hilarious. It also helps with the good voice acting as well, where I noticed a lot of voice actors from Gintama's cast - which is a big plus in my books.

All in all, I found it to be a very entertaining anime which I'll be sure to follow.

P.S. Oh look, it's me again. Haii tharr Hermit!

ep3: hoshi brought down the house
Spoiler:

recruit and hoshi was on each others throats verbally

and it was really funny how hoshi would react to every revelation

but in the end it was clearly recruit's round by a landslide
(he did get to ask nino out on a date)

i'm not sure whether sister's ability is real or not but i think he did favor recruit somehow

edit:

and i haven't watched ep4 yet so i will just have to post about it later ;)

No...just because their is a child character does not mean something as messed as loli.

Anyway that aside episode 4 was amazing. Loved everything about the episode, most epic part being Nino blushing. The after credit stuff was just ridiculous. The sister takes all those insults and just brushes them off with "sorry" but as soon as he is called boring his freaking scar explodes with blood. xD

I think there was something to the word boring "tsumannai" that set him off. He was probably goin to say sorry "suman/sumanai" again but instead he said "tsuma" which means wife so
