2) @pervy i'm hoping for a mix of new stuff and old completed anime to fill time slots, but we shall see...they may just show all the old stuff they used to run....
3) also @pervy....totally agree with ur waifus. that is all and how do u get them to change?....now that is all.

[color=#006FFF]I think it depends on how much they're willing to put into the return of it on whether or not the anime shown will be the old stuff we saw years ago, or new ones--or a mix. They could easily just show the reruns of the original Toonami up to its last episode with the later stuff shown; or, if they have more confidence in it and its fanbase, then I think they might either (a) ease into some newer anime and have a mix of both old (DBZ, RuroKen, Outlaw Star, etc.) and new (up to them to choose... PSG for the lulz?) or (b) just give us an entirely new line up. One way or another, because it will be on Adult Swim, I think they have a much wider range of anime to choose from and if they do go the route of mixing in some new anime, then it'll be very interesting to see what they come up with.
The only thing that may be stopping them from doing, more or less, a new "season" of Toonami would be doing the whole thing with TOM again. I can't imagine it taking much money or anything, but something tells me they would be a little hesitant in doing it again. Iono.
Also, since it was mentioned, I partially believe that this is happening thanks to the amount of fans who tuned in during the April Fools airing of it--of which I was only partly involved in, since I found out mid-airing.

I hope they actually show new stuff and not just replay old stuff. Also, waiting for small Tom stories and reviews just for fun-zies.

Oh great. I don't get Cartoon Network. Well I stopped watching TV about a year ago anyways. I swear if they mess Tom up heads will roll, buildings will burn, and the streets will be so thick with blood that even a slut from an H-manga would say it's too thick.
I hope it isn't neo toonami. My childhood memories and sanity await their test on Saturday.
Also, they'll probably also play Inuyahsa: The Final Act. The dub is supposed to be coming out this year. Just please don't kill Tom again.....just please. I bawled my kid eyes out when they killed him in the Intruder mini series.

AnimeNewsNetwork has confirmed that the usual anime line up on Saturdays during Adult Swim will instead show on Sundays. The line up has not yet been confirmed for Toonami but it has been confirmed that they will show a mix of the old and the new.

... the cable and satellite network that is paired with Cartoon Network, has revealed that the network is developing "new original anime programming" for the return of the Toonami programming block. Previous series featured on the block will also make their return.Source.
[color=#006FFF]I'm betting right now that one of the new ones is going to be Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. FUNi just recently announced its dub and release date, and I honestly think it would make a perfect fit, especially considering this is a block reserved just for anime, and now it can be adult, so yeah. PSG has a good chance I think.

This definitely gives me a reason to watch tv again. Toonami as a child is what got me into anime in the first place can't wait

Can't wait. The world has needed Toonami for such a long time. I'm so unbelievably excited to see it next week. Hopefully they pick up some cool new series.

Stoked about this.
For one thing, I hope they do re-runs of old time favorites as well as new animes that haven't aired on US soil before.
DBZ and Outlaw would be nice, but hopefully they mix in new animes like Mirai Nikki, Unicorn Gundam, and Gundam AGE. Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt would be also BA to air, but might be a bit TOO mature for Toonami audience. I would not mind it though since it's still a great anime that could bring in a lot more anime fan-base.

I heard about this and was blown away. I didn't even know cartoon network still had a pulse. I thought it was a shit spewing zombie this whole time. But On the same day they announced the 4th season of the boondocks. And well.... I'm on board.
But what should toonami show? There must be a shit load of anime out there that they can licence and have dubbed. I'd like to know what you guys think they should show. Because i found this list today.
I haven't seen most of those. But i know that they need plenty of action and if it crosses the american violence line it should be easy to edit out. It shouldn't be something that they would show on adult swim. Eden of the east and Haruhi should not be on that list if you ask me.
