Bakemonogatari

I don't know about Maria+Holic sales but wasn't it just as much as popular then?I don't know, but it has been noted that new Bakemonogatari releases sometimes actually outsold new K-On! releases, which is pretty outstanding considering the type of show Bakemonogatari is.

I'm hoping they announce a Kizumonogatari OVA on the last DVD, I want to see it animated so badly.I'd be surprised if we don't see more of this series once we get the last episode.
I would totally buy the last dvd if that happened. Plus, I really wish they'd show the last web episode already. :D

Well it was delayed again (big surprise.) and apparently we'll be getting the last episode streamed around the middle of June, whilst the last dvd comes out at the end of June.
Here's hoping SHAFT stick to their word and just release the damn episode ;___;

Big Surprise, again with the delay XD
I never really understood why this series is popular. What is even more baffling though is that no anime company is taking advantage of that popularity, including Shaft.

Pardon me for saying this. I do love the series due to its brilliance and great artwork. But I still think that most people overrated this stuff.
Does anybody here mind sharing some insights on what I might missed??

Insights of what exactly? If you mean why it's "overrated", then you're just going to get the usual bunch of personal opinions and no real "answers".

Man it's been like....a year maybe, since this series started. I'm glad we finally got the end to the series, as much as I love Bakemonogatari I did just want to have my conclusion already.
I think the fact it's taken so long to get here may give the ending a feeling of lack-luster but for me it was more of relief and a bit of sadness since I loved every character in it, and I'm praying to the gods of SHAFT that they decide to do a Season 2 (Considering how well this series did in Japan it wouldn't surprise me if they did more.)
Well anyway now to wait for the subs, I look forward to actually fully understand what's going :P

As Araragi continues to attract oddities like bees to honey, it is imperative that he learns to deal with them on his own. But if I didn’t know Oshino any better (if at all), I’d say he is grooming Araragi to take over his role; his responsibility to oddities and probably to Shinobu even -- with this particular case being something that Araragi alone must solve, like a practical/culminating exam of sort.Only I didn't think it'd be neko, overseeing/proctoring the exam as well. Hah, wasn't that efficient!?
What else can I say about the finale, aside from it didn't disappoint my expectations.
In the beginning and at the end of the episode, I couldn't help but think how Shinbo and I may be even more alike than I already had feared; being looneytics and all... Really weird thought but that's what it is.

who needs pantsu when you have bandaid I believe you got the analogy wrong. It should be, "who needs a panty when you're a loli."

I really liked the Finale.
Overall series appreciation 8.5/10
Didn't get perfect marks due to the wait in between episodes which kind of ruined a bit of the pace and mood that was set in between all the others.

Arragi shares his blood to her and isn't that normally included in the vampire arsenal? [spoil]And its not like he survived thanks to Hitagi. He really would have died right there if Shinobu didn't come to his rescue.

Shinobu coming out of the shadow and kicking ass was worth all 15 episodes to witness.
Overall an amazing anime series, definitely one of my favorites now. Just wish the gap had not been so long for the 2 extra episodes but that is life =/
