Well, there goes the "childish" part. Ep. 2 brings some fanservice. And Eclair (the green-haired one) appears to be a tsundere. And she isn't voiced by You Know Who, which is a good thing, IMO.
And the animation quality. A lot of shows go crazy with detail on the first ep. and then slack off until the end, but Dog Days still has nice fight scenes, even if they are a bit cheesy.

[font=Verdana][color=green]The Familiar of Zero lookalike? No thank you and with a name like "Dog Days", it just pushes me further away. Someone give me a bag, as I'm about to throw up at the combination.

Everybody needs to stop saying it's a "Zero no tsukaima" Look alike is "just because" the protag was summoned from our world to their world. It's not "another" Zero no Tsukaima.
It's Obviously a Nanoha Look a like.... With how the clothes are design, the fight scenes, "Beams".
@Sam: Why don't you watch it first, it's actually quite entertaining and funny. Expect cool fight scenes, Beams and other explosive things, since this is from the maker of Nanoha. Don't get prejudiced, C'mon you're still watching A Channel
Dog Days, is not that "Generic", since it combines cool battles with "Takeshi Castle" for the lulz.

This looks like a...generic anime...playing to all the archtypes that they know the fans love. Still watching this though. Dog Days, is not that "Generic", since it combines cool battles with "Takeshi Castle" for the lulz.

Episode 3:
Yeah, the show is kinda cheesy, and there’s an overflow of cute dog-eared girls in every scene, but the show really isn’t that bad, IMO.

Is this worth watching? If you're into cute girls with animal ears, Then yes.
If you're into serious stories, Then no.
Cute girls with animal ears is the only reason I'm watching this anime.
Oh and the fights are kinda cool so if you like RPGish wars then you'll probably like this

Ep.10 isn't serious enough IMO. :/
But yeah I'll agree about DD being a late bloomer for plot though. Sorry bout that.

Interesting series, just started watching it like 2 days ago...up to episode 7 as of now.
It's a cute series, not much of a story, mostly a lot of comedy, a little bit of action
(reminds me of that Japanese TV show "Wipeout" or something similar.
Oh wait, "Wipeout" is the American version of that Japanese game show...I think it
was on SPIKE. I forget the name now....what was I saying? O_o
Oh yes, Dog Days...late bloomer, indeed.
Is the manga better? (If there is one)
I'll Google it later on.

Hoping for a 2nd season, since the "promise" and the late introduction of a character. then again they already named this "Project DD". Seriously oping to be the next Nanoha where things "get real" after the 2nd season.

Liked the series nonetheless with the critic that some people gave about it, I really liked the animation and even though the characters seem a bit "overpowered" when they go into action, the animation and the design of the characters will probably overshadow that idea
overall, I agree with it having a second season, but it seems unlikely... a guy can dream right? :D
