So far so good ... the art's a bit okayish, preferred the art or character drawing on the first series to be completely honest. There's no REAL theme so far which is kinda disappointing for me ... but, at least it's being told the way it should, following the manga n such. There will be a theme if you keep watching it.

I was referring to the music actually ^_^ ... the first series had a cool old school WWII kinda vibe to it, and it was depressing, exhilarating, ya know the works. This new series has ... sort of ... nothing gripping music~wise.

I'm waiting until the re-events are over to begin watching seriously now. For some reason, after watching several episodes of this new season, I stopped watching the episodes so thoroughly.

Without a doubt, I'm enjoying the series now more than ever, unlike my silly brother who's not even watching it for the changes that he didn't seem to like in the early episodes. Pacing wise, a little bit less overly dramatic, better (2nd) OP/ED sequence, and most esp the current developments (regardless of the new set of characters); Seeing those fragile people being toyed around by the homunculus bunch puts a smile upon my face.
At least for now it really amuses me... I have a feeling that the later developments will only piss me off real bad.

Completely different series now making me (once again) hunt for the subs the minute they go public.
Ep. 16 in particular marks one of my favorite episodes thus far. It had no action and little really happened but it brilliantly succeeded in where the previous ones failed hard - it had emotional impact. FMA is full of tragedies dramatic twists that really need(ed) to be shown using proper amounts of screentime and care and yet were being butchered due to the silly pacing. I hope the show takes it's sweet time with the important stuff from now on.
Liked the previous OP/ED combo better BTW.

I'm loving it, so far it's sticking to the manga, and I enjoyed the manga more than the previous FMA, this new remake is awesome.

I just started watching this second incarnation; It makes me so very happy:
Firstly, because I didn't really like the ending of the first anime that much.
Secondly, because there's always more time for Action-Chemistry!
Thirdly, because there's always more time for Winry!
Fourthly, because the new OPs are both great.
Fifthly, because it feels like a new story (because it kinda is...).
Sixthly, because moar Winry (*drool*).
Seventhly(is that a word?), because there's always more time for Mustang, Ed, Al to be kicking ass (And Al seems a lot more kick-ass this time around, a lot less like a Burden).
I think I've explained enough.
EDIT: (How do you get the "[list]" thing to work?)
ALSO:
Eighthly: Because I never liked the little kid Wrath anyways.
Ninthly: Because THERE ARE NINJAS. REAL NINJAS.
Tenthly: Because Gluttony actually has his Eating-Things-Belly-Lazer.
Eleventhly: Because Mustang seems like less of a bad guy (Not that he was a complete bad guy in the first, but he was a little too bad-guy-ish for my tastes).

The last part was very emotional to me, Ed getting dragged in and calling out to Al's body.
The expression he had at the end was just epic!
Hopefully they'll have a new OP and ED next week, so far all the songs have been just awesome!
