Tears of joy, Ah My Goddess...seeing two people so in love made me choke with tears.
Tears of frustration, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (Rumbling Hearts)...I wanted to reach in the TV and smack the main character around.
Tears of sorrow, virtually any anime designed to kill off a main character and/or hot babe.
I'm a sappy, romantic, single guy. I've accepted bachelorhood and cry my eyes out to any sappy, romantic anime (which The Flying Spaghetti Monster knows there are more than we can name).

Most of the tail end of Witchblade did this to me, especially after it became apparent that

I've never felt so strongly for a character as I did for Masane, and her ultimate fate left me weeping uncontrollably for about three minutes after the credits stopped rolling.
I'm still pissed that the blade itself was perverted into some kind of parasite instead of the sentient weapon it was in the comics.

I would have to say the closest i have come was the last 2 episodes of rumbling hearts. thet hole story is realy sad but very good

In other words, I'm a sap ...

I'm not sure if I'm just messed up, or extremely manly (I hope it's the later of the two), but I've never really cried over an anime, in fact I don't that anything that I've watched has really made me cry, granted, there has been a few that made me go, "wow, that's a really sad one, like towards the end of Myself Yourself, but that's about it.

I cried during episode 135 of Bleach. For the people who watch Bleach, its the filler when Rangiku puts Kon's gikongan in the little girl's stuffed animal and she takes him home. The last like 3 minutes were terrible in that, "Why the fuck am I crying," way.

I started watching anime again a couple weeks ago... but the two series that brought me close to tears are:
Kimikiss... because of love triangles and hidden emotions
Genshiken... just for relating so much to me and the end of this series maybe.

Once I shed a tear watching naruto ( zabuza thingy ) But that was mostly due from the music. Music always forces me to cry.

when I saw the whole thing with Shou Tucker and Nina, I actually shed few tears; that was just ridiculously sad.
Think i've come close a couple of times with Eureka 7 as well; don't remember when/why.

I feel down whenever I've watched a whole serie. Sometimes for days, depending on how attached I grew to the series.
I suppose everyone can relate to that, to me it is almost unbearable at times.
I usually cope by looking into more material from the same series, as the end doesn't have to be the end. When it really ends however, then I am often satisified, as I have read it all, I can move on. The problem is when there is nothing availble in English, which really makes me feel that I have been cheated on. Why can't I get it all?
Just gotta try to learn my Japanese, that would solve all the problems of my simple world.

There are lots of anime where I cried, but the list goes on and on.

my sadness it's all about FMA..
- when Hughes died. (altough he's not my favourite character)
- Scar's Death. really.. he's telling his feeling to lust before he becomes transmutated into pilosopher stone
- Greed's death.. at the last moment. he shows his "humanity" to ED. and what makes me sad that he dies in a very horrible way..
- Lust's death.. wrath killed her when she's trapped in Homunculus circle. at last she understand her will to become human..
- Martel's death.. when Bradley stab Martel inside AL's body and revealing himself to be the last Homunculus
- and then.. if you see this,you'll know what i mean..
