Anyways, yep everything you said right there Imperial, including all the caps, great anime is great. Oh also
Spoiler:
Well.[spoil]The ending was expected, but unexpected. Quite an ambiguous ending, as others have stated. It’s a good ending, nonetheless. I think it would have be better to have a complete ending, and maybe make a spin-off, not a continuation. If they did make a direct continuation, it would seem like the only thing they could do is turn it into a “regular” magical girl show.
I’m required to take some sort of world history class, and I ended up in World Religion, and there’s a lot of basic Buddhist concepts in the last episodes as well, with the whole “Madoka exists but does not really exist” thing. I think.[/quote]

I just finished watching the last 2 eps, and the ending was very good, but there's just one thing that I'm confused about. Why are they making a prequel manga, when the ending makes it pointless?

I believe I speak for most of those who had seen the double Madoka dosage:

The ending was alright, but i nothing special imo. Kinda expected something better tbh.I'm sort of feeling the same, however it was worth waiting for.
Well, played Gen, well played. And for all those who don't know the difference, SHAFT only handled the animation, not the writing that is attributed to Gen Urobuchi and the directors.

Now this is one of the Bittersweet Endinggs that I always expect from Gen. PROPS to GEN UROBUCHI..so stop praising SHAFT for the story...
And Kyubey is now CUTE again. He's never evil though.

My point exactly, lol. However, many people forget about the writer and focus on more on the studio.
Still sticking to salary man idea, are we, lol. Although, you are right, he really wasn't...

Well, I’m not sure if you could call this an adaptation, as Gen Urobuchi was specifically asked by Shaft to make a story for them. They all worked together on the project.
The character designs, animation style, story, and everything else all contribute equally to the success of a series, IMO. I’m not sure the story would be as enjoyable if it took place at some generic school, in an unnamed generic city, with generic witches drawn in generic anime style. Seriously, the animation supports the story quite a bit more than one would think.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica began development after Akiyuki Shinbo expressed his desire to work on a new magical girl series to producer Atsuhiro Iwakami while they were working on Hidamari Sketch and Bakemonogatari. During early planning stage, Iwakami decided to not adapt an existing work in order to give Shinbo more freedom in his direction style. He then contacted Gen Urobuchi to work on the project as a scriptwriter and Ume Aoki as a character designer.

All true, but I guess I was just thinking more in terms of the scriptwriter; since it is writer (and often times director as well) that is overlooked. Even though the others are involved with art, animation, and character designs, it was more on who did the actually writing, but I see what you are getting at. Thanks for sharing that little snippet of information.
BTW: Madoka getting a novel by Nitroplus+? Hope this isn't a joke: http://animapple.blogspot.com/2011/03/madoka-mahou-shoujo-madokamagica-gets.html

I like to say that your post was very informative of the answers. It helped me understand what was up with Homura new powers at the very end despite my hunch that it was Madoka's powers.
