Neon Genesis Evangelion

One of my favorite animes at the moment. I've seen the entire series twice over and still left with shitton of questions but at the same time they're completely irrelevant. What truly impressed me was the depth of mythology Evangelion created and just the way the anime was directed. Starting from an average looking mecha anime to the legendary ending (yet controversial) in the series and End of Evangelion.

Truly a series everyone needs to have a look at.

Funny that you bumped this. I've just finished reading the manga today. It was so good. The ending was a real mind-blower I should say. I should try watching the anime series and the movies when I got the time.

I haven't actually read the manga but I'm guessing it ends the same way (not sure about this)? But yes, you should definitely give the anime series and movies a try when you can. Although the series has aged in terms of animation and you have to keep in mind the rebuild movies are go in a different direction as well.
