1. oldies anime had baaaaaad fight scenes comparing to new fight scenes i scream in the face of oldies
How can you say that! Dragonball Z had AMAZING fight scenes!
its a good thing if yu can see the fighting but half the time they were flying so fast yu cant see them and the characters made it look like it was an amazing thing but its just being lazy.

Digimonand like everyone else anime fan or not, DBZ.
Instead my older sisters subjected me to Sailor Moon and Ranma 1/2.
Then there was Pokemon, Digimon, and Yu-Gi-Oh. And some Miyazaki films like Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service.

As a kid growing up in the Philippines, I've watched a boat load of anime (cartoons) from morning till night (Fridays only). I must say most of the things I've watched are old school, and what's funny is that the time they start the afternoon shows, it's also the time schools ends so I need to climb down the mountain, commute to my house whatever means of transport I can ride on and the next thing I know, the shows are over. I'll just explain my list w/ a little trivia for each of them...I know it's a long list but they all are memorable to me...
World Masterpiece Theater series-I'm quite sure this was all the shows I've watched for this series. They were mostly kiddy shows but they sure fill my mornings w/ this.
Maya the Honey Bee-The only show broadcasted on local Philippine channel dubbed in English for the series.
Fushigi no Kuni no Alice- afternoon filler.
3000 Leagues in Search of Mother-I watched this when I was in high school. Good thing he found his mother again in the end. The dubbing is also good compared to the tagalog dubs nowadays. Pure tagalog unlike the shitty shows that promote taglish; lazy script writers and producers on local channels.
Wakakusa no Charlotte-I watched this also when I was in high school. Redubbed on another channel after it was finished airing on ABS-CBN 2.
Princess Sarah-one of the most horrible dubs ABS-CBN 2 made in the good old days, audio was really static and I can hear echoes on some part.
The Story of Pollyanna, Girl of Love-It was aired on ABC channel 5 and then GMA 7 got it and re-dubbed it, a very good re-dub I must say.
The Adventures of Peter Pan-This show was dubbed in tagalog based on the saban English dub version. I was a good show which made my mornings but it was only shown w/ once(I think). ABS-CBN made a re-run for this, but after like 10 years. They re-dubbed it using horrible voice actors, in w/c they should have never shown it again.
Little Women II: Jo's Boys-another morning show, w/c is one of the best tagalog dubs ABS-CBN ever produced. The popularity of this show was so high, it was also translated to different dialects in the Philippines and re-runs were made. Last seen this somewhere in 2005, I think...
Remi, Nobody's Girl-Another good show w/ lots of drama every morning for I could remember. The voice acting for the characters are also top notch in tagalog. May no other channel in the Philippines re-dub this and if they ever do that, may die a horrible death by swallowing their microphones. I'm serious.
Anne of Green Gables-I only watched this a few times but I always ended up w/ a fever.
Les Misérables: ShÅjo Cosette-remi nobody's girl was the last in the seires shown in the Philippines so this was next show aired after a very long time for the series.
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer-I'm quite angry whenever I'm watching this show. I'm not quite sure but there are scenes where Tom and Huck are swimming naked.
The Swiss Family Robinson-I stopped watching this after Nippon animation spiked the script on this one. The Robinson family never had a daughter, ever. If you count Emily Montrose as one, she aint.
Romeo's Blue Skies- I watched this every afternoon when it was first aired, lots of action and drama of a boy going to a faraway place to work as a chimney sweep so he can pay his father's medical fees. I saw a rerun on this way back 2008 or 2009.
The Bush Baby- this was originally shown on ABS-CBN titled Jackie, but it was snagged by either GMA 7 or QTV 11. I never liked it but I like the dubbing.
Tico of the Seven Seas-One of my favorites, in w/c it feels like a free wily rip-off but sadly, it was only shown once in ABS-CBN way back 1997. No reruns ever initiated after the initial run...
Heidi, Girl of the Alps-early morning show about a girl living in the mountain w/ her grandfather. I was later aired by the other local channels, in w/c they re-dubbed it and it was not even close tom the dubbing quality ABS-CBN did, although ABS-CBN is also producing horrible dubbers nowadays.
Robot/mecha anime
There's a bunch of mecha I've seen aired on our local channels, but the oldest were Mazinger Z, Mechander Robo, Voltes V and Daimos. What's memorable is that Mechander robo, Voltes V and Daimos were all dubbed in English by Filipinos until the day president Marcos banned all of them, saying they were too violent for children to watch (I need to agree w/ that because most mecha shows of the 70's and 80's were really bloody and violent).
After that in the mid 90's, Zettai Muteki Raijin-oh and Astro Boy were shown in the Philippines every afternoon by RPN 9. What I like about these shows is that all of them were dubbed in English (Raijin-oh still dubbed in English by Filipinos but I'm not quite sure about Astro boy).
Gundam Wing was the first Gundam ever aired in the Philippines way back 1998, followed by Mobile figther Gundam G. No U.C. gundams were ever shown in the Philippines. After that they aired Gundam X, and all the Gundam anime I mentioned were aired by GMA 7. It took another couple of years for another Gundam anime to be aired w/c is none other than Gundam seed and destiny w/c was snagged by ABS-CBN 2. Currently they are airing Gudnam 00 on their cable company w/c name is Hero TV
I also remember Patlabor aired in RPN 9 and it was my favorite alongside Raijin-oh. Who could forget the school transformation on that show whenever the jaku empire launches another robot monster to crush their city?
Magical girls
I actually hate the magical girl genre, but I've watched a few like card captor sakura and saint tail. Sailormoon was a phenomenon when it was aired in the Philippines, and I've watched it religously every saturday evening.
Action
Dragon Ball Z was first aired in the Philippines before Dragon Ball, and they were both dubbed in Englsih. We watched them every Sunday evenings and we would go crazy discussing the show every now and then, but they never had it finished. The only time we got to watch dragon ball GT was like during 2000s or so.
Another show I’ve watched is One Piece, w/c is quite a very long anime like Dragon Ball. Naruto was also aired and I was the best show I’ve watched during the time of it’s run.
