I realized that Kyosuke has the same voice actor as L'arc (from Arc Rise Fantasia) and they have nearly the same head design.

Anyway, since we are still within the manga, there isn't much else to say except that I'm kind of sad that Kyosuke didn't get all that pissed when his sister calls Manami "Neighbor-girl". I felt that was a defining moment in establishing his relationship with Manami since he is rather "ho-hum" about her otherwise.

Yeah, I just remembered that moment from your comment, but they seem to not be showing Manami a whole lot, so maybe that's why they didn't feel like making that scene more dramatic than necessary? I'm not sure, but I hope that they don't write her out completely.

As for the rest of the episode, this was one of my favorite parts of the manga so far, and I must say that I enjoyed it even more in it's anime form. The rivarly between Ruri and Kirino is just fantastic, and I loved it when their two series were animated against each other. I definitely can't wait to see more of them. Saori was also awesome, as always.

The one scene that I daww'd at, though, was when Kyousuke came over to Kirino to consult her after she wasn't able to talk to anybody at the maid cafe. I felt bad for her during that sequence, and it was a nice way for Kyousuke to showed that he cared, (even if Kirino was embarrassed in the process).

I'm still getting used to there not being an ending animation, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. The opening was very nice, and the animation was solid for this episode once again. I'm definitely looking forward to next week.

We're past the manga scanlations already, just like back with Toradora. I haven't read the novel translation yet, but anime dad seems a lot more sensible than manga dad. Really, all it came down to was the eroge in the anime adaptation.

Also, I still love whatever we can get of Manami. Seriously Kyousuke, how say you say "flag" and reference eroge properly and yet not know about the "lap pillow"?

I agree. I think I liked this this interpretation more than the manga, (in which Kyousuke ended up saying that he was going to throw away all of Kirino's stuff; tyhis was definitely more manly and allowed for smoother plot progression. Does anyone know which way it was in the novel?

And I love this show as well. Now that we're past what I've read in the manga, I'm looking forward to it even more.

Surprised it got to this point so quickly, I assumed it was going to be left till the end of the series for some reason. Either way I was pleasantly surprised, Kyosuke showed a real manly side to him and it was awesome to see him not back down.

Of course though the highlight of the episode...Kirino calling him Aniki <3 If she next calls him onii-chan...well I may have multiple heart attacks/orgasms.

saw the third episode today...i liked the photoshoot at the begining of the episode, that was pretty hot. talk about multi tasking, talking on the phone and playing and eroge at the same time...that would be a bit distracting. when the goth girl said "i need to go help my little sister take a bath" the look on Kirino's face was so cute, must be tough to get 100% on eroge games...lots of work i suppose. i feel like that sometimes when someone hasn't seen an anime that i have, go home and watch it right now. chase after your sister who just ran out of the house because of your father...yeah i would have said no, if you can't accept your daughter for who she is then maybe you don't deserve her is what i would have said. "Even the news says this is a bad influence on children" can't believe everything you hear in the news you know(especially fox news), *hn* Kirino's dad sounds like the typical controlling father. good for Kyou he stood up to that bastard of a father for his sister, grant it he got slugged for it ...if it where me we would have been brawling like an action movie. his friend asked what happened to his face...i would have said i kicked my dad's ass but he got a few shots in, i definitely liked the ending of this episode. all in all another very good episode
