I want to rewatch [AnoHana] now, it's been too long.

While I agree with the rating, do you like crying? I watched AnoHana months ago and just thinking about playing hide and seek still makes me all emotional.

@Thread: Seitokai Yakuindomo: 6/10
Slice of life comedy based on a manga of the same name. Its absolutely loaded with sexual humor. If you find that hilarious you will like this series. I didn't find it very amusing though, but the creativity with the sex jokes was interesting as the episodes progressed.

Hey, whats the name of the manga under your post? I want to check it out ^_^

Harmony - 7/10

Amazing visuals, but the movie itself is kinda hard to follow. Reading the novel (AFTER watching the movie) helps a lot in filling the blanks.

Yozakura Quartet 6.5/10

Refreshingly not a romance; I've been watching too many anime lately where romance is a major plot point or used as a comedy relief tool. An ogre girl having a crush on the main dude and her brother not liking it is about the extent of it.

The anime was okay but it was nothing special. The concept of yokai living with humans in a fictional town specifically for co-existence is what grabbed me. I expected the yokai to have otherworldly appearences or at least differ from humans in some way but nope; only the odd exceptions like the catgirl and her brother who's an unwilling antagonist. Which brings me to my next point; the anime does the "main antagonist is a friend of the main characters" (as I mentioned before, unwilling; as in he's possessed) and the "main heroine doesn't acknowledge the power of friendship/teamwork until the final battle" tropes to death.

It was watchable throughout until Kotoha spawned machine guns and used them. A majority of the time she goes DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA! while firing them and I just fucking cringed. I gathered she has to use her voice to create and control things so there's a plot relevant reason for it but she doesn't always do it while firing them, and when she doesn't those scenes are so much better.

Might pick up the manga, see if anything got left out of the anime. Turns out it's a fairly long running series.

Had no idea it was remade. Guess I didn't look hard enough.

Edit: Watched a fight scene from it. Yeah fuck that, it looks way better.

ReLife

8/10
Seemed a bit unrealistic at first (I mean, I've never seen someone who offers me to be involved in an unknown project at night on street). However, as I kept watching, I started to sympathise with the MC, since we have some similarities. It was an enjoyable ride for me.

Mayoiga: The Lost Village - 3/10

It was garbage, but a fun ride with /a/. Lots of dank memes and shit made this forgettable heap of confusion an alright experience. Some of the characters were fun to watch and at least they had amusing names (Lovepon, Speedstar, Soy Latte etc.). The character relationships were substandard even by the low bar set by the medium and some of the characters had laughable "trauma" that came back to haunt them or were just entirely skipped over. This series was pretty much a mess in the end and is not something I would recommend anyone watch now that it has finished airing. Let us forget.

Kiznaiver - 4/10

This show, while still bad, was almost average. The characters were more consistent but still adhered to anime archetypes and the basic premise of the show was at least entertaining. The execution of the confused plot and the drawn-out themes of "friendship" were less amazing, however. The drama was often acceptable but was also sometimes excessively juvenile or forced. Making myself watch the last few episodes was quite a chore though there were some fun times had in the middle of the series. Overall not a success for Trigger and it certainly won't be remembered as fondly as Kill la Kill. The stupid little short they did simultaneously last season was better.

Perhaps I shall go finish some shows I actually liked from last season now.

I was waiting for a Gundam show like this.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works -> 8/10

finished Seven Deadly Sins recently, 9/10! really good show! wish we had a second season though.

Just finished Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Again.

For probably the 11th or 12th time.

As always, it's a solid 11/10 and lives in anime legend alongside Cowboy Bebop.

You're gonna carry that weight.

Finished watching Kabanari of the Iron Fortress. Kabaneri? Kabaniri? I'm too lazy to google it.

8/10

I realized all throughout it was mostly just following the beats, but I like the steampunk ascetic, the music was great, and none of the characters annoyed me like they did in Attack on Titan, where every other sound from the character's mouths was a revelatory gasp.

Anyway, I had fun.

Ghost in the Shell Arise - 7.5/10

The plot can be kinda hard to follow here and there, and to make sense of it one needs to watch the four OVAs, the last two episodes of Alternative Architecture, and the movie - it's all one storyline with subplots here and there.

That said, it was a fairly good show. Can't compare with SAC though because I have yet to watch that.

The Logicomas are adorable.

Re:Zero

10/10

I love the main plot and the world it's built upon and none of the characters annoy me (mostly).

No Game No Life, 10/10.
I had the laugh of my life, also so epic at moments. So sad to think they won't go on with the next novels...

Watched episode 1 of two new animes for the season.

Bloodivores - I must admit I was not very interested in this anime. The name is fucking ridiculous and doesn't inspire much faith in me. But I figured I would give it a shot despite my reservations.

I absolutely hate the main character after one episode. It is literally impossible for me to care about this character in a way that doesn't make me want to choke the bitch to death.

I didn't develop any attachments to them and honestly it just seems like a hastily done obvious plot.

I will not be continuing this piece of shit further.

0/10 first episode.

Shuumastu no Izetta - I was a little more interested in this one, but I was also a little unsure of it going into it. The synopsis just seemed a little meh to me.

Overall, the first episode left a pretty good impression on me. The art is pretty decent. The story is interesting and involving to a point. And the characters don't make me want to just choke a bitch to death.

While the plot is kind of so so, it has a hint of evolution possibility to make it really interesting.

It was enough of a success in my mind to continue the series.

7/10 first episode.

Amanchu!
Fucking loved it, but I don't think it's in a lot of peoples strike zones.
I didn't realize it was based off a manga by Kozue Amano(Author of Aria/Aqua), but could tell with the first 30 seconds of the show because of how similar it felt. The atmosphere is instantly recognizable to anyone into Aria, and the show felt very comforting because of it. If you're a fan of her works I'd say check it out, just be ready for not much of anything happening. Like aria, this show is selling itself off the mood and characters, not plot/comedy.

Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru!
A lot better than I was expecting. Some solid school club comedy with some weird feels mixed in.

I feel like I need to purge my brain after this one. I adore the source material with a burning passion, but this was some grade A shit. Fuck.

New Game!
Cute girls doing cute things that doesn't suck. Would watch more.

Amaama to Inazuma
Felt sort of like Amanchu with more cute, story, feels, and food. I had a good time.
