Is comedy ecchi all you're interested in? I've only recently started reading manga but I can highly recommend Blade of the Immortal and Mushishi (as well as Death Note but that is pretty much an implied suggestion for anyone who has started reading manga within the past year). Though both are rather far from being comedy.
I did hear about an interesting manga that is only available through scanlations called "My Balls" or "oretama" for the Japanese. A guy gets a demon in his testicles and the demon's servant is trying to get him to cum so the demon gets released. I haven't personally bothered with it since scanlations are both irritating to read and manga is only like $12 Canadian and I can afford that without even having a job.

I just started Genshiken, and so far I like it. But as far as stuff I have completed there is always Death Note (the first arc) and Elfen Lied. Some others that I kind of enjoy are Claymore, Anne Freaks, Hikaru No Go, GTO Early Years, and Hunter X Hunter.

Its really an action series but dont overlook Getbackers. Its has true comedic gold, and a fair bit of ecchi as well. Nothing like watching two guys get the crap beat out of them for stealing a Final Fantasy game :lol:

A.I. Love You is another series by Ken Akamatsu, lets see, theres also Ichigo 100% which is also funny and ecchi-ness too, and I think it can be downloaded, which reminds me I need to update that :)
