I just want to make a note that I think whoever voices Rin is either a child or is exceptional at acting like a child. I can't remember any Japanese dub having such a convincing child's voice before.Rin's seiyuu is Ayu Matsuura, a real loli chile of 2001.
This must be the season's most underrated show. We need to fill the web with the Rin gifs.

I just saw the first 2 episodes and I am in love with this series.
Daikichi is likable and is starting to really care for Rin, who is as others have posted, sweet, calm, intelligent, and so darn cute :) As for her relatives, wow, what a bunch of &%$^#@s; they wanted nothing to do with her, and she was the one suffering the most. And Daikichi sensed it himself and stepped in!
I have read the manga, and I'm hoping it doesn't follow it too closely, for a change. But I'm sure it will on certain levels. As for the animation quality, it's unique and copies the manga style in a great way.
Now we need some GIFs of Rin-chan ^_^

Cute, ain't she? ^_^

Just watched episode 3.
Daikichi's immediate family redeem themselves- although I never held anything against them in the first place, since their viewpoint is understandable. It made them more likable, in any case.
Rin is adorable as ever, and Daikichi continues to be a total bro. For someone who's been thrown into the lions, he's handling the situation very admirably and with tact. (Of course, he's been blessed by having a very mature and sensible child to take care of).
Also, Rin's mother is hinted at.

Fuuucccckiiinnnng looooooooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeee.
I can't watch this show when anyone else is home, I squeal like a little girl at a Bieber concert.
That being said, I was not expecting to like it so much when I started, but dammit it's adorable.

In the beginning when i first heard about Usagi Drop becoming an anime, i was reluctant to watch it due to the fact that i confused another manga/anime with this one, but after reading the manga and watching the first 3 episodes that are out so far, i must say i am SO GLAD i read + watched Usagi Drop.
Rin is so damned cute and so much more mature then what the 6 year olds i've seen runnin around everywhere IRL!
Daikichi is a champ for rising up and taking the challenge with raising her, i'm definately keeping tabs on this anime, I hope this becomes a 20+ series (or atleast making 2 seasons or something) rather than making it a 12 ep series and totally ruining the story.

Good to know it'll be worth the time/bandwidth. I've been doubting this series since all I hear is negative comments from /a/.

I give them credit for their recommendation pictures, but that is all.

I wouldn't go to them for recommendations, since they seem to have this pattern to start hating a show (good, or not) once it starts getting too popular.

Pretty much, yeah, but they do give out recommendation charts, (that aren't trolls), every now and again.
Anyways, back to episode 3 discussion:

Even thought I'm supposed to be studying, I got an email saying that the last chapter had been released. I couldn't resist, and now I'm not sure if I enjoyed the ending, or if it was utter crap.
I've heard that the author is going to do one more volume, either as a follow up of sorts, or it might take place during the time skip.

I've read somewhere that this series is going to be 11 episodes long, so, until now we've seen animated only to chapter 8, does that mean this series is gonna be about the time qhen rin was still a child?

Anyways, as for episode 4:

I was skeptical about this series at first from the look of the animation and synopsis i read of it but, after reading the comments here from the first episode i decided to give it a go and the animation didnt bug me as much as i thought it would have. The story was more endearing than depressing as i thought it would be, it hits home with a few things in it because i had to help take care of my younger siblings who are 12 and 14 years younger than i. So this show has been accumulated into my currently watching list and the manga soon to be read instead of reading.
looking forward to that phone call as well :3

The animation and synopsis are what got me interested in Usagi Drop in the first place. But why did you think the story would be primarily depressing? I mean, it could've been, depending on the situation and the protagonist's view of it, but that's not the case here. I guess you had some pretty tough times with your siblings, then?
At any rate, for me, it's one of those shows that highlights some of the better aspects of humanity.

This show really let me tolerate the idea of ever having a kid someday, like I know that this all just fiction(duh...) but still it just gives me the idea that having a kid wouldn't be all that bad.
back on topic, I literally screamed "Noooo" when the credits hit after that phone call. really looking forward to next week.
