It's quite clearly inspired by Hanafuda cards, as the name implies.

Would not have known myself, if I hadn't seen them before in other media.

Guess I have skip this one. Quite a shame because the art looks really great. But laws where I live are quite tight concerning loli. And I don't want risking a charge buying that one.

You can just cross the border and have an us po box.

And we have to declare what we bought when we cross back ):

Do you normally wrap it in plastic so they don't open the books normally to check?

It's just shrink wrap, it's delivered like that to us prior, we don't do it. It's to help protect the book in shipment and also it's nice to know that nobody's grubby hands was all over it before you :P

If that is the case I'd assume customs would normally not be able to see the book in question? :)

For content containing more questionable subjects like loli, can't you just put a sort of advertising post card over it that isn't as questionable? (like physically inside the shrink wrap both sides with different pictures) Like if I order from Playasia or Amiami they always come with these little post cards that have their number and customer support as well as a nice little thank you note with a picture of a random anime character is isn't offensive. That could potentially save a lot of people from customs.

Obviously some books are too big for a postcard to cover everything. So simply cover what you think they may be able to find offensive. For example this title doesn't really show anything offensive on the cover, so over the name of the book thus they cannot search it up? However hopefully your post card is big enough to completely cover up [NAMONASHI] NTR².

Also a question about Hanafuda and shipping. If I pay for the digital now and want the physical later, but due to shipping I try to bundle it with other release you do at the same time. Do you I pay that extra 10 dollars somehow while having all your other preorders in the cart to make them ship together? Even if I already paid for the digital edition separately? Or will they be unable to ship together if ordered together.

We really don't have any control at all what customs do. If they decide to rip open your package to inspect it to make sure you're not breaking any laws then that's their decision (depending on the country, right) to do that. We're not trying to deceive customs with shrink wrap, we're trying to make sure it arrives in good quality to your mailbox. Having a post card over something that is loli material doesn't really do you any favors, if customs would decide to inspect your package and it contains something you know you're legally not supposed to have, the post card isn't going to help you in the end.

As far as upgrading to print if that becomes possible for Hanafuda, I would imagine Jacob will have an upgrade option that you can use at any time. So if you want to wait to bundle it with something else I would imagine that would be possible. However I'm not a coder, I just make the books look pretty, so I could be wrong.

Love me some foxgirls (and catgirls), but I'll hold my horses just now, and wait for a print release, even if it means I'll pay extra! Want to adorn my mighty manga bookshelf some more.

Can just buy the digital now and pay the difference for a physical book later :p shows the demand for the book.

We need to order the digital copies to make sure the print copy makes it. I already have a copy from wabi, but this one sounds like it has extra tidbits, and I would kill for an uc version. It may have to wait till my next paycheck tho, sadly.

How's it going with the pre-orders? Does it seem like we'll get enough to allow for a print edition?

Pre-orders are going well, we won't know for sure about the paperback until the digital version gets released. But I have a good feeling about it

Good to hear, I'm still hopeful we'll get it. And I think I've mentioned it before, but I'd really love it if you could publish art books someday. Don't know how interested you or anyone else is though.

I'm not completely sure about the definition, but I've been under the impression that this is an art book.

This is more what he means about artbooks: http://www.amazon.com/Queens-Blade-Collection-Hobby-Japan/dp/1935654551 And yeah it's definitely possible we will release artbooks in the future. Wani actually published an official RWBY artbook a few months ago and had several of their artists contribute: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2014-12-22/official-japanese-rwby-fanbook-includes-art-from-yoshitoshi-abe-range-murata-others/.82514

Yeah technically it probably is, I should have been more specific.

That's what I meant yeah. I've imported a handful already and can still appreciate them despite not knowing the language, since it's mostly just artwork. But I could see you publishing some of the good hentai ones, I'm just imagining how awesome it would be to have my favorites like Irenka - Kagami Visual Works with the artist's commentary translated and the art uncensored (if available).

Alright, this looks beautiful. I also have a ton of respect for any artist that would go back and retouch their work for a new release. Ordered.
