Haven't had much chance to actually take the wrap off the book so I'll settle for this in the meantime.

Compare to another manga:

My thoughts
Spoiler:
Very impressed overall. Similar in size, but the difference that I loved was the quality. The color pages are vibrant especially on glossy paper. The B&W on heavy gauge paper felt different, but its a plus when it comes to durability compared to the Inu books. Love the dust jacket and the book cover is nicely discreet for some public eyes. This book was made to last.

Oh funny I recently ordered A Strange kind of Woman vol 2 (I wanted to buy that after Christmas but seeing that amazon only had one copy left made me rush to buy it, I'll be missing volume 1 but that'll follow with Monster Musume 5.).

My stock of new hentai will be quite big before Renai Sample comes, but fuck it I'm not making an update before I hold that book in my hands.

Clearly, all English manga should be published by Fakku.

No, I believe I meant exactly what I said.

I'm getting the feeling that Fakku is going be the equivalent of the Big Black Cock in the hentai world. Once you go black, or in this case Fakku, you never want to go back... Project-H's books look/feel rather pitiful when compared to the original/Fakku release... :(
I would suggest to PH to at least give Yamatogawa's book the same treatment Fakku is giving to its books but I doubt PH is a company that will listen. :(

Coming soon would be an eulogy.

You're taking this too seriously. :P

But still, other manga deserves this kind of quality as well.

To be fair, normal manga is actually bigger in the US than Japan (in terms of size and dimensions). The overall quality is about the same (different feel on the pages, but similar quality), but a US manga is either bluray or dvd case sized (forget which) while Japan is like... 3DS XL sized. It's quite a big difference.

I like the way you think.

I'ma argue that if all manga was printed this way, they would be expensive as hell
not that I ever really bought manga...

Mine just showed up no more than an hour ago, which is actually pretty good considering most mail has been arriving after 7pm so far this month.

This quality though, it reminds me of a good 1920-30's cathedral style radio, looks fabulous on the outside and a wet dream on the inside.

But it affects profits. You can either get cheap or high quality, but both is a hit in the black. I don't think Jacob making bank. Enough to pay people off and maybe hide some away for more production.

Can someone here who has gotten their book already confirm if the book has those blank pages at the beginning/end like some Tankobons have?

I don't think anyone here has mentioned it before but there's also this poster. I remember it when it was introduced but I can't remember if it was possible to actually take out of the book.
