FAKKU Tag Suggestions

Any suggestions for new tags should go in this topic.

Before posting a new tag suggestion, please do the following:

Go through the tags page and make sure no similar tag(s) already exists.
Go through this topic to see if someone else suggested your tag, and if they did, upvote their post instead.
Provide at least ten examples from the site where the tag would be applicable to justify its existence.
Limit your examples to manga chapters. Can be from the subscription or purchasable content.
If what the tag refers to is apparent at a glance (like Tanlines), it's sufficient to link the gallery (example).
If it's a specific act/feature (like Heart Pupils), link directly to the page where the tag appears (example).

Lastly, we are unable to add any tags that could potentially be considered controversial. This is a trend you can see across the industry with other adult-oriented sites removing tags and content, and we are not the ones dictating what is deemed acceptable. We are sure some of you will find this frustrating, and while we share that frustration, we hope you also understand this is unfortunately beyond our control. These suggestions will be removed.

New threads made outside of this topic and posts not following the above guidelines will be locked/deleted/ignored to prevent clutter. Also note that the purpose of this topic is to submit user suggestions, and there's no guarantee that a particular tag will be added to the site just because it's on this list.

Proposed tag: Kemono

The catchall term for Japanese-style furry stuff.

Examples:
The entire Foxy Rena series
It should be apparent from the covers that this tag would apply to all 56 of these doujinshi.
It's also worth noting that, should you continue releasing more volumes in this series, there appear to be at least 13 in total. In other words, this series alone would more than fulfill the requirements for this tag to be considered. Still gonna give you five seven and (and a half?) more examples, though.

The Yokai Inn
Tag applies to the the girl on the right of the cover.
Also, this one is listed twice for some reason.

Monster Smash
Yes, I saw that you wanted us to limit our examples to comics and anime, but this book would also need the kemono tag. It also appears to contain the previous example I gave.

The girl on the left (first page) definitely qualifies as kemono, rather than just being a monster girl.

It might actually be easier to just add the tags we suggest immediately. That way, the tags would be available to suggest for things.
In any case, this current system doesn't seem to be working.

There's an easy way to make tagging on the site work better. Just remove the restrictions on items' tag suggestion pages, so we aren't limited to tags that already exist. Basically, let us type and submit anything in the text field on that page (having suggestions still come up is a good idea though). You guys have to approve all of our suggestions anyway, so this wouldn't be much different than the way things are now. (Yes, this also means we could suggest controversial tags.)

The general rule of thumb is, if the suggested tag accurately describes the work in question, it should be approved and added. Once a particular tag has enough usages, you could consider giving it an entry on the tags page. Also, once a certain usage threshold was reached, a tag would automatically start to show up in suggestions.

Every so often, you could cull anything that is only used once or twice from the database. Ideally, you'd also want to add some parent-child tag relations to help automate things a bit.
For example, adding a child tag such as "cat_ears" or "bunny_ears" would cause the parent "animal_ears" tag to be added automatically. Tag aliases would also be a good addition, so that you could get the same results searching "nekomimi" or "kemonomimi" as you would if you searched "cat ears" or "animal ears", respectively.



Anyway, we also need a way of grouping together items that are part of a series.

First off, there's no guarantee that a tag will be added just because it's requested. That said, I recently went through this thread, as well as going back several years on the forums looking at random suggestion threads. Contrary to what some would have you believe, there really aren't a ton of people requesting tags, and most fall in to one of two categories: super specific fetishes/themes that really only apply to a handful of chapters (and thus aren't good candidates for new tags), or the same thing being requested over and over again.

We ran across a number of good suggestions though, and came up with a list of tags we'd like to add in the near future. It's currently in the works, and it's something I'm regularly pushing for internally, so hopefully we'll have an update on that soon.

I'm not sure on an exact name for this tag but it's either body odour, smell, or scent.

Basically it's when one character is attracted to another because of how they smell. This would NOT be for off-hand remarks about how the dick smells bad, or have anything to do with bad smells. Although it would have a large overlap with sweat they would be distinct from each other.
