Order Status and Store Update

The issues with the online store forced us to push out a front-end redesign of the website a little earlier than we wanted. You'll probably notice some subtle changes to colors and layout around FAKKU that make things look nicer across devices (dark mode also got an update). But because it was pushed out before it was 100% done, there will be some bugs that we will work to fix ASAP (like this one). Here's a separate thread to discuss general bugs with the design that are not related to orders, purchasing, checkout, etc.

UPDATE: It appears order receipts before 2018 are missing as well as some random ones since then. Because we are exporting this info from Shopify and importing it back to FAKKU, it'll probably take some time to get everything sorted. Prioritize looking for issues related to the items in the orders that do show up, and making sure your shipping info is listed correctly for any pending pre-orders.

In the meantime, we are going to move forward getting digital purchasing back online!

Let's keep this thread specific to issues with the store and purchasing, as getting that functionally back online as soon as possible is our main focus.

Getting digital purchases back online requires 3 steps.

1: New Design Online

2: Order History (showing past purchases)

3: Shopping Cart + Checkout

Step 1 and Step 2 are now complete! We've been crunching hard the past 2 weeks to get them done and I'm feeling pretty good about it. The site should actually be noticeably faster than it was previously. I'd like to ask anyone reading this to go take a look at your Order History and make sure it looks correct. This is actually the first time this info is available on the main FAKKU website and it's going to allow us to do a lot of cool things in the future. You should be able to find all of your past orders, tracking numbers, etc.

Digital purchases will be back online shortly after we confirm that the order history is accurate and working for everyone.

I noticed that if you switch to the "Items" tab and select "page 2", then switching back to the "Orders" tab will give back a different set orders.

Btw, I have no idea how the orders are sorted. It's not by date or order number.

It should include every order up until the store went offline 2 weeks ago. If something is missing, let me know the order ID and make sure it was purchased on the same account as all the others.

Actually I just realized the order list was not sorted by date, it is now! That'll probably fix the issue of not seeing your most recent orders first. Also added sorting to the item history page.

An issue is that the pagination in the "Orders" tab and the "Items" tab are shared, and the pagination UI only shows up in the "Items" tab.

Just fixed an issue with the order list, it was only showing the first 10 orders. If you had more, they should be visible now.

Same here. The oldes order and items are from 2019 instead of 2014.

My recent purchases seems correct but my order history only goes to January 2019 the earliest for me and I have been buying books and doujinshi since the beginning of it all back in September 2014.

I haven't had time to go through and verify that no orders are missing within the date range currently listed, but the furthest back that the orders show for me right now is September 2018, whereas I have orders going clear back to September 2014.

Also, while it's not the end of the world, if you go to the last page with the items list and then switch to the orders list, you stay with the same page number even though it's a much larger number than the number of pages for the orders (at least for anyone who's made a number of orders with multiple times). So, you end up with a page with no orders on it. So, the logic for how to handle which page you end up on when switching between the lists appears to need some tweaking.



It looks like it's ordered the items by date so long as they're in separate orders, but for orders with multiple items, there's no obvious order to them. Personally, I'd probably choose to have the items listed in alphabetical order rather than by date. I'm not sure that listing the items individually holds much value otherwise, since even if they were listed by date and then listed alphabetically within that date, it would be difficult to find anything.

I can also confirm that I only see orders until 2018. I've been buying the books since Fakku's first release so I should have a fair lot more. Sadly, I lost my e-mails (server drive array failure) so I can't confirm the previous orders. My library though has all of my purchases.
